The fenty powder is super popular among makeup artists!! I primarily work in film and I know a lot of artists that use it for touchups on set, myself included! It's fool proof because it's so universal and a workhorse for really mattifying. Powders like the Kosas one are beautiful, but don't do enough for keeping someone looking matte under bright lights
Maybe the reason Fente, Charlotte tilbury & rare beauty are top sellers because you can only get them at Sephora whereas you can get bare minerals & urban decay at ulta too.
I'm not much of a sephora shopper if I can help it. I prefer ulta or actually I prefer the drug store lol. "Best seller " doesn't hold too much weight for me, just bc someone or a ton of people bought something just means the marketing was well done, imho
“Best seller” is not quantitative. Like what does that actually mean? I feel like it is different for every store. Is it the fastest selling, or has it sold the most units, or did it make the most money when it first came out or over time….?
Yes I agree although I have to say I rather trust Fenty & Rare over Charlotte cuz I haven’t tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury so far also her brand isn’t really intriguing me at all like I feel Charlotte Tilbury is a little bit overhyped and overrated especially her contour wand like first of all there’s only two shades which is pretty lackluster and you barely get any product so I don’t think it’s worth the price point
@@markusfeindt I've tried Charlotte's products, and they're really nice, but you're right that they are overhyped. I've liked the few products that I've tried, but I found similar/same products from other brands that were a lot cheaper.
@@angierentmeester9265 Yes me too! I can only assume people sometimes are being biased towards their fav brands and I understand cuz I am too but not to the point where I would recommend products that aren’t worth it or revolutionary
I’m actually having a moment revisiting ABH dip brow, but I think the brush it’s supposed to be used with by ABH allows tiny fine strokes to be painted and I’ve noticed other brushes apply it way heavier. So I guess I’m glad I got upsold on the brush 😂
I think Rare, Fenty, and CT are also basically only sold at Sephora. So people who want those products can't really get them anywhere else. Make's me surprised Natasha Denona isn't up there for the same reason.
So proud to say I had that Fenty powder way before it was in the Superbowl. I just hit pan on it too. I think it was one of the highest rated powders when it came out then it lost its popularity. Great powder if you get oily or shiny throughout the day.
Actually the Fenty powder has been pretty viral and sold out for months in my country! I have been wanting to try this for months now because of the hype but I can never find it in stock
Love this video. I like getting a peek at what people are (supposedly!) spending a lot of money on! But I also gotta say, the term "window shopping" always makes me smile bc when I was little I thought it meant actually buying whatever you saw/liked in the window of a store! 🙈 tbh though, when my writing gets my $$ RIGHT I'm gonna do that just once, not even knowing the price! 🤑lol
I like the Saie liquid blush a ot more than the Milano because it's SO much easier to work with/blend. I think because it sheers out and I prefer that for my fair/light skin tone. I love bright blush like I love the colour chilly from Saie too because it looks like my actual color I blush to.
I purchased the Fenty blurring powder a few months ago- really like it ! Keep it in my purse and blot my t-zone. I was surprised it made the list as well. Love all your content!
my guess was BareMinerals, Too Faced and Tarte. They've all been around for a while and have well-loved items that people tend to repurchase like complexion products and mascaras
It's always interesting seeing what the top sellers are because the majority of people that buy makeup don't watch beauty RUclips when you think about it
This was so much fun! I'm so out of touch because I've basically stopped buying makeup, so I only got the setting spray right😆 Looking forward to the 21 days of beauty though!
Oh yay, the 21 days of beauty sale. Except for my entire notification list is full of those videos. I really only wanna see a couple, but it's a 3 week event for some I watch. Lol
I used to buy a lot from urban decay with the older palettes and lipsticks. However, I feel like the formulas and products have changed a lot and not for the better. My favorite lip color, mosh pit, doesn’t appear on their website anymore. Their customer service is also horrible so I stopped buying any urban decay products.
I think Charlotte Tilbury is a bit overhyped and overrated her contour wand has atrocious shade ranges like freaking 2 shades?! Also you barely get any product from her blush, highlighter & contour wands and for me it’s definitely not worth the price point bc I love to get a lot of product for paying for a high end price point cuz that’s just me 😅
Love CT cream bronzer in medium. Hit pan. What's a good alternative? Can't afford to replace it. Keep going back to my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. Perfect shade for me . Haus only looks good over Glow Screen. Not using that. Went back to CT Airbrush foundation. Using True Match too. Liking Rare Beauty liquid highter and CT blush wands. Have to try the matte ones.
Kelly, shhh, I’ll let you know why you see a discrepancy on best sellers….maturity (AKA consumer age). Any product and brand that can easily be worn by a certain demographic is going to sell. Fenty may be a bump with the Super Bowl but it is a nice line even for mature skin.
Speaking of powder/ cream/ liquid, WHY is it so hard to find a true contour in powder form?? Powder is the most user friendly way to contour yet the best option even know seems to be the Kevyn Aucoin powder that came out decades ago, especially for medium/ dark skin tones
if you're still on the hunt for powder contour, look into kbeauty! they have a toooon of amazing contour palettes (affordable too)... and they're usually single pan gradient products so you can apply lighter or darker pigment as needed! i'm using the rom&nd one, though i've also heard great things about the too school for school and wakemake ones :)
I feel like those older big brands like Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte, etc, are really struggling to stay relevant. The newer brands have changed things so much. I’m definitely not interested in those older brands anymore.
Love her videos but the only thing that drives me crazy and a lot of people do this on their videos is when they "clip their hair off their face" but they only do it on two tiny sections, then they spend the whole duration of the video moving the rest of the hair away from their face over and over..... makes me want to reach in and put all their hair up in a ponytail...lol.
No surprises on this list at all. Ilia has ads EVERYWHERE right now. Of course people are curious enough to try it. Free samples of their blush and mascara abound. I have oily combo skin, so I already know to skip it even though I am old. That fad will end soon when curiosity is satisfied.

That is a clever observation! 😮
Exactly. Sephora being so expensive, i only shop there brands i cannot find anywhere else
Absolutely!
You can get Fenty at Ulta

This is the feeling I’m having in DC
Yep it was 76 in Tennessee very strange for this time of year
I think fenty complexion products will always be best sellers because of the extensive color range.
I agree! They make great foundations
I'm not much of a sephora shopper if I can help it. I prefer ulta or actually I prefer the drug store lol.
"Best seller " doesn't hold too much weight for me, just bc someone or a ton of people bought something just means the marketing was well done, imho
I absolutely agree! I shop Sephora for some skincare, but Ulta is my go-to!
Unfortunately I live in Germany/Europe so we only have Sephora available here cuz Ulta is America exclusive only 🥲😓
A way to track repeat purchases would be much more helpful.
I agree! I'd rather see 4/5 stars products rather than best sellers!
“Best seller” is not quantitative. Like what does that actually mean? I feel like it is different for every store. Is it the fastest selling, or has it sold the most units, or did it make the most money when it first came out or over time….?
I am guessing the reason so many cream products are on the list is those are products that get rebought/replaced more often
I love checking the best sellers and never buying any :D
My guess is Rare Beauty, Fenty and Charlotte. 🤷🏼♀️

Fenty, Rare beauty, and CT are my guesses
I was right! I think people buy Too Faced and Urban decay from Ulta more.
Great guesses!
@@Jennifer_Ann I only have Sephora in Germany/Europe and buy Too Faced from Douglas a German retailer inside German stores

Its Smell Before Rain !!🤎
You should do a full face of different brands best sellers like various brands best selling lip, cheek, foundation, etc from drugstore and high end
Hi Kelly, it's "smell before rain". I think she named it after song lyrics from a band :)
just asking. Do we really believe the Bestsellers page is genuine or are at least some the products Sephora wants to push?

I go by top rated rather than best sellers. Top rated are the ones people are happy with instead of the ones the most people bought.
I've not liked a single fenty foundation.

My guess for what's viral right now: fenty superbowl merch. My guess for top 3 best selling brands is charlotte tilbury, rare beauty and fenty.
Best sellers are subjective at best.
I mean I prefer ulta because Sephora it's hard to believe all those reviews are legitimate.

Can you do a video like this using drugstore products
If you have already do this then forget I asked ❤❤
I paused the video to guess the top 3 brands and I feel so powerful that I got all 3 right 😂
1:07 so which product was the top seller for something “that just happened?” You’re killen me 😂
The Fenty powder :)
The about face product’s name is smell before rain 😂
I assumed companies pay to have their products on the “best sellers” list.
Out of curiosity, has anyone compared the RB luminizer to the discontinued Glossier Niteshine? I would love to know because Niteshine was my HG.

I doubt these are really best-sellers. Brands probably pay Sephora to place their products on these lists so they get pushed out to customers.

other commenters have made the point, but I think customers for those other brands are more likely to not shop at Sephora
