The m40i has been tested in the USA at over 300kw stock on a Dyno. BMW underplayed the engine power, hence why it has the same 0-100 as a Macan turbo at 295kw.

For my birthday, May 28, I treated myself to the X3 M40i and am delighted 6 months later. It's a little beast that can be tamed. Getting the mpg that was advertised and the acceleration is just a treat. I'm pretty sure the reliability will be normal vs Jag that is decidedly not. Yes, it is a bit utilitarian but when I'm looking out the windshield I don't really care about wood trim. This SUV handles a lot like the '08 328xi coupe it replaced and actually gets better mileage with much better acceleration. Seems like magic. Love it.

      @ Wilhelm Taylor
Out of curiosity, did you get the 19, 20, or 21” rims?
I really like the look of the 21’s, but even changing the sidewall size, they are still steep. And not many choices.
My plan is to get one by say end of July, and while I like the 21’s, the tire choices and rim choices for winter and tires for summer, are much better in the 20’s. And they don’t look too bad. So tempting to get 21’s, but I’m guessing a set of tires is going to last probably 2 years as far as summer ones.
And I’m going to drive it, so $200-$315 or so a tire vs $300-$500 a tire and replacing them often matters. Cost and choices.
Really wish they’d not even did the 21’s with such crappy choices.

@@billgabrielsonjr7259 → 19". The dealer had them all but I opted for 19s because I believe they give a slightly more comfortable ride. I switch to ice/snow tires in the winter and it turned out that those are pretty hard to get in 19. I'm at almost 2 years now and still love my X3.
Yesterday we went to the dealer and picked up a new 440xi gran coupe. Pretty much the same engine and same sound. That thing is a sleeper and my wife loves it. Now we're both happy. She's had to put up with an '11 535xi that we traded in.

The interior of the GLC is actually more modern than that of the F-pace. However I do have to admit that the f pace is more handsome the the Mercedes GLC. Sorry I didn't mention the X3 because in Malaysia the X3 is not an entirely famous car. Probably because the front end looks a little bit undertstated for our local consumers' preference.
I rode in the 25t F-pace before (Singapore spec) and the comfort of it is actually quite OK. No, it is not going to be as comfortable as a 1995 LS400, but for a considerably long highway trip of around 400km, I did say that the Jaguar is more comfortable than a Japanese midsized sedan. Performance is OK, but the engine can vibrate quite hard sometimes.

Do not get a Jag. Had a brand new 2017 Jaguar XE R-Sport. After hitting over 20 000km that car was nothing but problems. Turbo blew, the engine light was on every month. Went to two different dealers for repairs because first couldn't do anything about it. They replace a whole lot of components. It would be fine if it was just me, but I have a buddy with similar issues. Just google the issues people are having with their Jaguars. Now, I own a 4 series BMW, not a single issue yet.

Final numbers destroy your clear bias throughout this review.
BMW X3-M turned your stylish JAG into its bitch. FYI: X3 is a family car just with a strong engine... the X4-M would be a more correct comparison relating to original manufacturers' intentions for "sportiness."
