As an autistic man, I can relate to this so much. This kind of flirting doesn't effect me at all. Girl's need to be direct. Otherwise nothing happens. I can't help that I was born with autism. So you can't blame me for not picking up the sings.

Actually this is one of the reasons I absolutely ADORE a lot of autistic men. As an ADHD'er I'm always mistaken for being flirty when I'm usually just enthusiastic or happy.. and I'm quite a literal thinker too. And oh man when you meet someone who ISN'T constantly trying to get into your pamts AND knows what it's like to lose yourself in a special interest?? FRIENDSHIIIIIIIP! It's the best.

I would honestly be so attracted to a man who freely shared helpful information about food allergy risks. I would have engaged him in a long convo about food allergy labelling while strolling around outside together, because sitting across a table from each other under a bright light with lots of other people around is too stressful.

Frrr it took someone actually saying to me "I was trying to flirt with you" for me to actually pick up on the idea that they liked me and wanted to hook up. Oh, the autistic rizz and its drawback of completely missing social cues

happened to me countless times, even when actually dating, online or in person, or in flirty text messages. i could never work out that this flirty bullshit sexy talk is an actual invitation to act in real life - I always believed that it was just a game to get to know each other, and clear instructions on what is about to happen will follow. so i always expected some kind of formal speech with clear talk about rules and what to expect and everything else.
i stopped dating because of this. it gives me far to much unrealibilty of situations. i cant bear that.
This is perfectly accurate, for me as an autistic. But it does not show the other side of course, when I am actually trying to flirt. The police usually would show up.
