Thank you so very much for detailing all the work you did to install these seats. I'm about to put in C7 GT seats (heated/vented) into my 2011GS. Not many people have documented all of the steps it takes, let alone in such great detail.
@@bonecrrusherSS the other videos were crucial for me too. I ended up needing to take the C7 driver's seat apart because the seat back bolsters were loose and found most of the plastic seat back tabs were broken. Your videos were really the only ones I could find that showed how to get the leather skin off and back on. I ended up ordering the Vetteworks adapter harness which is nice but I like your fan switch better. I just don't have the time/ability to do my own. Would like to have the heated seats working. My car didn't come with heated seats.
@@OpticalToxin yeah I haven't gotten the heated seats to work either. I think to get that working would be to remove the c7 motors and wiring all together and retrofit the c6 motors and gear.
@@bonecrrusherSS ah, yeah not going to happen for me. Do the the side airbags still work or do you just not get errors? I'm also concerned about the passenger front airbag if the occupancy sensor doesn't send the right signal to the C6 BCM.
I think on the c6 seat I had to remove it using a pair of channel locks and it unscrewed. C7 seat I just bolted it in - it's been a few years since I had that torn apart.
About how much longer can you drive with the C7 seats than the C6 seats? I can only last about two hours before I have to get out in my C6 and at least stretch a little bit. I've ridden and C7 but not for very long is about a 6 mile track and I did10 laps
Do you have a video where you modified the wiring or a schematic on your website? I can't get vetteworks to answer the phone so I will have to modify my wiring harness.
Hi BonecrrusserSS, nice video and nice car. Funny thing that we have same color and e-force superchargered vettes and both of us are swopping to C7 seats. My swop is begin level. I have the seats, but Dan at Vetteworks has not give me the quota of needeed parts. Perhaps some of the parts are not ready yet. But yes, passanger C6 seat harnest need to instal to C7 seat, that he told me, but now you show at the video what really need to do. If you see Dan, please ask him how long time I need to wait and yes I have emailed and asked, but never get answers or quota to my needeed parts. Cheers from Finland.
Janne - my harnesses took forever to get. I want to say like 7+ months. I never understood the passenger harness install until I took the seat apart. Remove oem harness from seat, plug into 7 seat motor controls, then plug it into floor. Drivers side was a quick jumper plug.

I haven't had any back issues with these seats - but the comp seats are way more stiff then my c6 seats where.

No - I just used the Vetteworks harnesses. I did modify my harness for the seat fans to work.

I did the bodykit swap like 10 years ago.
Memory seat motors are different. Boner and i have the exact same drill press.
