yeah youd think for a game that literally cant make EA any money, they'd be a bit more chill with the revives and 3rd party servers and such. I'd rather play 2142 than BFV anyday but I don't think thats what they want

Probably one of my favorite multiplayer games of all time. BF2 and 2142 hit this really good balance of realism and fun that I don't think the new games capture at all.

Absolutely hate BF3 onwards BF2 and 2142 played much better - no ridiculous kills from the other side of the map, I gave up after BC2 but i still play 2142! has much better team dynamics and game play than any of the modern equivalents

i was there when BF2 Revive Project was still online.
played few game on Battlefield 2142, it kinda buggy due to lag but it was kinda fun. i like being a commander since i could reveal every enemies in the map with satellite scan then tell my teammate to defend a certain waypoint or just drop an orbital strike directly on top of enemy camping spot.

Second only to bf2. Great memories.
I played this game so much, I would hear the walkers in my sleep.. It looked really good for it's time and still holds up. It's great to see a true team based FPS before the world of micro transactions.

Really confused as to how to install the mod? The basic instructions on the mod page are a little vague and I'm a massive noob with this stuff xD
Ya dont get any unlocks in this mod do you? Cuz I misses mah Ganz and IDS. Those were fun tiems. Plus taking the one 64p coop mod and modding the maps so it was me and like 12 bots vs like 20 AI bots.
I almost want to say a futuristic battlefield would work today but I'd be careful what we wish for

I lost the disk and Revive got shutdown.
I only played BF1942 to 2142 because of the bots. I can push the game to the limit with 100 bots (244 with Forgotten hope 2 mod for BF2 ). The new battlefield doesn’t have that and I just don’t see the benefits of buying the new games if it’s gonna collect dust after 10 years.
Battlefield 1942 to 2142 isn’t realistic but, it makes up for it by being fun. I didn’t have that experience with the new titles which aimed to be more realistic.

I've never played this..as I was like 3 when it came out. But I gotta say this game looks like it would've been so much fun. Still want a modern shooter from battlefield first but having a 2143 after that would be perfect.

I find it extremely funny how EA tries to take down revives for the old games and trying to force us to play their microtransactioned new ones, instead of just trying to make good games like this again... Is it really that hard?

Hello I have the CD deluxe version. And I don't mind that there are no servers. It's like a Ravenfield mod. But with editional good graphics. So if you ppl have just the disk version. Be happy cuz life just decided to be generous to you by at least giving you the bots.
