So really I have 3 settings, normal walking around, aim down sights, and what I call "focused aiming". It allows me to snipe long range with just a red dot with ease and track players extra smoothly. I get the craziest head taps all the time and surprise myself often.

    Phenomenal point with the “scav runs aren’t representative of what your pmc will feel like.” I used to scav before my first pmc raid and my scav always has higher stam, more due to weight of the play than time on player but I digress, when I would load into my pmc match I would find myself in fights thinking I had stam when I was just running out, I played like this for months before I realized, now just going offline in horde mode, set to impossible actually made me a better player and got rid of fight anxiety

    Hey, as someone who uses 1:1 ads maybe I can kinda explain the reason behind it. For me at least using a slower ads usually means I have to descope to aim at the target and then scope in if they reposition too much and it also fucks with my muscle memory. Using 1:1 means the way I am unscoped and the way I aim with scope is exactly the same so I don't need to adjust when I aim in

    • @2Lew
      @2Lew  2 года назад

      I get why people use it, but I still stand by you're either gonna be ADSing too fast across your screen and cant make minor adjustments, or you just cant turn fast enough whilst sprinting. If it was a game like csgo I'd understand, but since you get such a massive turn speed penalty whilst sprinting in this game, I don't think it make sense.

Even it's not my native resolution, game still runs smooth and looks extremely good. I recommend DLDSR to those who have high end system but still has a 1920x1080 monitor. Tarkov needs to be played in 2550x1440 or above.

    • @ybabts
      @ybabts Год назад

      For those of you wondering, with 4k downscaling you can only really scale down to 1080p to avoid a blurry screen because you can't divide the pixels evenly. So I have black bars on my screen but I like it.

    Whoa whoa whoa....The changing mouse pointer option and the unchecking of vsync is different than what Ive always used and been told to use with the vsync. Ill start with the vsync. Since when are we supposed to be turning that off now? Not that you are wrong or anything but I feel like even up to this current wipe everyone has been saying to set it the way you said you no longer need to set it? As for the mouse setting, I had that checked "on" when I went to the settings so I guess I have been using it, probably for years, in multiple games. I have a G502 and have that set up a certain way. Would that have any counter effect? I notice the difference in mouse movement right away when I unchecked that setting. Not that its a bad thing but it feels noticeably different than what ive always been used to. How would that setting being on effect the aiming in game? I guess I will have to try it out in offline mode or something but I'm genuinely curious what that would change in game as far as mouse movement. I mean I dont have any problems aiming and feel like I'm pretty decent at the game so I'm interested in what it would change being "off" vs "on".

    The biggest tip here for any wipe or patch for Tarkov. DONT PLAY SCAV at the start of a wipe. Keep playing your PMC with decent kits. The Scav kits are garbage at the start until you get better rep but IMO, level up your scav more like mid-early wipe. Not only that, you are halting your pmc progression every time you scav. I'd say if you're waiting for friends after you die, run a scav. That's about it.

    A year late on this but just to touch on the aim sensitivity being set then never changing it. There was a study i see how people performed under different sens and how long should you practice on that sens. What they didn't expect to find was the people who had gradual changes over time say 5-7 days per change and ONLY small adjustments actually performed better because there brains were subconsciously adapting to the change so they paid more attention to aiming. Meaning we should actually all be slowly increasing and decreasing our sens over time. But not drastically changing it by 20/30% etc just small changes.

    Stretched res doesn’t work in tarkov but it does in tac shooters

    4:3 stretched in all comp fps games since cs:s gang represent
    Edit:
    Also a sens tip from someone who plays fps games since i was in diapers, no shit, like 18 of the 22 years of my life. Have your sensitivity low enough so that you actually move your entire arm from your elbow, proper posture is important. If your sensitivity is high and you only move your wrist while playing fps games that causes a few things.
    Firstly it strains your wrist and hands and causes your hand to get tired faster and miss. And also it prevents you from gaining muscle memory.
    The more muscles you engage while playing games the more accurate you will be over time. Don't go overboard though, you dont want to be throwing your mouse across the entire desk.
    Basically have it low enough where you have to move your whole arm from your elbow while sitting properly with your back straight at your computer, but high enough where you can actually make the movements, start by adjusting your sens to the point where moving your mouse from one side of your mousepad/mouse desk space to the other side causes a 180 degree turn and adjust to what feels comfortable from there. You don't want to be making multiple flicks to do a 180 turn. Importing your sensitivity from other games like cs or cod using online calculators can be good too although they can be hit or miss depending on the game. For tarkov i just set it from scratch while my csgo css and valorant sensitivities are as close to each other as possible.
    Also i agree that no matter what sens you play at, once you set up a certain sensitivity for yourself just leave it and get used to it as it doesn't matter that much in the end. I used to play at really high sensitivities when I was younger as i had crappy mice that didn't track properly on low sens and nolifed 10th prestige on black ops one on pc as well as faceit lvl 7 in csgo.
    Hope this helps

    Let me give another. Know when you have time to aim more slowly. Even in gunfights you don't always need to rapidly flick and fire a lot of the time you can take your time lining up a shot and just win right there garunteed.
