Floored and honoured to be included in this.
Right on Ian!!!
Yo Ian. Cool to see you in person.
@@3cardmonty602 Very COOL!!!!!
Stang is a great shop! Doc put a bone nut and saddle on my Martin last year, and also improved the string spacing.
I saw you ,Dave Gunning, and Jake Lauzon perform last night in Fort Saskatchewan. A great venue, and wow, what a great performance!
I can't believe I missed this!!! I am also from Nova Scotia, my name is also Jon Cormier, I live in Edmonton, I've been a huge fan FOREVER!!!! Billy Strings just played THE ANTIQUE at Doc Watson's 100th birthday party... JP was mere feet away from me... my guitar senses are overwhelmingly overwhelmed hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Great video . . . even better that you showcased a Larrivee guitar . . . worlds best guitars 🤨🤨🤨 cheers, hope the tour is doing great.
What a nice Birthday present for Ian ,good to see you squashing that covid bug brother cheers !!! and Happy Birthday !!!
Thanks Brother Joe!!
hey Ian Rossiter....so cool to see ya.
Best GSWJ yet. @Ian Rossiter is the best character in the String Theory Universe!
A bit-walk on player next to the mighty Sudsey!!!
@@ianrossiter7960 I'm an amateur. You're a pro.
Hey Sudsy
Great tour guys, keep em coming👍
happy to support everyone in this space. Thank you for your consistent sharing JP - appreciated.
Very cool thanks for the show.
Very cool video. And it was neat to see Ian Rossiter
I'm overwhelmed with this amazing guitar haven. Well done J.P., Dave Gunning is having too much fun!
Awesome store! Great bunch of guys!
Awesome shop. I am the proud owner of two Larrivee guitars, one is an OM-02, the other is one just like the one you played in this video - an L-03R. The only difference is mine has the limited edition vine inlays, by Jean’s wife, Wendy, and mine doesn’t have the Venetian cutaway (which is why it’s not an LV-03R). Absolutely underrated guitars, and they are priced extremely well!
I wish Larrivee would get more love from the guitar community; they deserve it.
They did just begin selling Larrivee at Sweetwater, and although I dislike Sweetwater, it’s a boon for the Larrivee brand.
Anyway, peace. 🐰💙🇺🇸🎶🎸🤝✌️
RIGHT?!? I’ve got 6 Larrivée acoustic’s, one electric from 1984, and a Larrivée F-33 mandolin. Love Larrivée
Hi JP Just here to comment on my Yamaha FG5 which I have had about a year .
What a good guitar. everything sounds good on it, every genre of music.
The intonation is beautiful, every note always sweet.
Here in Hawaii 1 year and it is as stable as can be.
I was playing Jazz Standards on it just now, and everything sounded very good.
Easy to even get a "Hot Club of France" Gypsy Swing going .
Thanks for your review which directly was the reason I got the FG5
Amazing! Thank you Sir!
Hope the clinic gets posted
Wow. A super store. Thanks JP
Love seeing larrivee get some love. I have a 2006 larrivee OM that’s simply incredible. Much love from California.
O K a room key to play better than I ever will .
When you have the talent to justify, and a very supportive other half.
amazing and nice!!
Way to go J P. Love you bro. Keep up the great work.
Awesome shit fellas. Thanks
yes we do need many more. 2 small shop in Salmon Arm BC just close down.
just wanted to add. That was Juno night, the Junos were awesome!!
I am so humble to find this channel and i love it!
Great show JP all my music friend's watch your showes waving from North carolina
New to your channel. Great CONTENT. Really leaned a lot of good insight and knowledge on acoustic guitars from this vid. Tks
Well, it looks like its time for a road trip to Alberta! From Michigan, I could be there by Dinner time... "What do you look for...?" What I look for has really changed since finding your channel. Yes, I have a Martin and a Gibson, but I also have a Larivee, Yamaha L-36, and a Alvarez Yairi (because of you). I've learned in my old age that there are more than a few builders out there making some really good instruments, and we all appreciate you bring them to our attention. Thank you and keep 'em coming. Best wishes.
That Larrivee is such a killer!
Hi John, I'm a new subscriber. You remind me of a pre war Martin. ( The real deal) . Glad I found you. 👍
Best part is the hotel pass card as a pick.👍
Nice store!!! yea for the money the Seagull S6 is awesome,my son has 1 and wont lie I have fixed a few cracks in the cedar top but he fell on it walking up the stage stairs had to reglue braces as well but man its a cannon !! blows my 82 Yamaha FG300M away but not by much ,its the cedar top that makes it so resonant
jp what a great video
Good old fashioned love for something that’s bloody great and real
Great video…
Did you say the dark-headed guy with you is named Jay Clothes-On?? 😀Love you guys!
J.P. And Guitar staff: I live in Winnipeg where it is as you know, very dry in Winter. I use Oasis humidifer/thermometer on my 1966 D 28 which I have owned since new. There no cracks anywhere, not even at the pick guard, which often crack the top bear the rear bottom of the pick guard. I attribute that to the Oasis.
Seagull guitars are highly underrated, they are Boomy - Loud and have a ton of resonance, for the price i don’t think you can find a better all solid acoustic guitar for under $1500. Great video JP, keep on rockin’ in the free world my friend.
I agree re Larrivee; wonderful guitar, but the angular neck a little quirky for flatpicking.
Great vid, luv it. 👍👍👍
Dave Gunning reminds me of a Monty Python TWIT. He has the look and the moves. All he needs is a handkerchief tied at its 4 corners and worn as a Twit Hat, like Michael Palin, Terry Jones and John Cleese in their classic Twit Skit. He must be a real HOOT and a Half to be on the road and touring with. Safe journeys across 🍁 as you head West and back East again. Don't Fret none, neither!😁
33:40 red hair boy
hope you can visit Norms Rare guitar one day 😁
28:30 Jp picks
Wish you would let us know you were coming
I thought that was an SVB credit card. You break it you've bought it! JP can make 'em wail, man.
JP. You are the man.
Guitar players. LL6 vs LL16D. My local dealer doesn't have an LL16D in stock I have to pay and order one in(and it can take upto 3 months, maybe longer they said)
The LL6 feels good and sounds great. is the difference between the 6 and 16 worth the wait and extra money?
Are you ever going to do a review video for Riversong Guitars? I wanna hear your opinion on their quality and value of there guitar.
Since they are based in Canada.
What two guitars were being played at the end of this video
Are you from Canada JP? i was born in BC, but all the family is from Edmonton! Good to know about this little gem.
Are you still in BC? He's doing half a dozen shows there next week!
@@srbaker Yeah man!! I'm on Vancouver Island! Thanks for letting me know! I'll see if I can find his tour sched
Parksville is sold out, I think. But Victoria is a huge venue.
@@srbaker He's gonna be in Parksville In 10 days! I'm definitely going if its not sold out yet!
@@KenneyCmusic I used to live in Parksville, Nanaimo, and Victoria. My wife is from Port Alberni.
I wonder how long until they get bought by you know who
Walnut is fantastic….
Welcome to edmonton lol
Thanks! I imagine that you’ve seen stuff like this in person. ruclips.net/video/u41paAzwzkk/видео.html. 😎
My D28 modern deluxe broke in two pieces. And it is in a climate controlled room. The top side busted in two and the nice top broke right down the middle. So goodbye Martin.
