From your accent guys, I guess you're both Irish 😀
Haha is it that obvious 😅 yes we are both from Ireland. We hope our accents aren't too hard to understand we often worry if people can't understand us
@@EoinandAisling Haha I'm a Singaporean Malay but have been living in Lancashire, England for quite a while that's why I could recognise your accent. Don't worry, your Irish accent isn't very strong. Most malaysians can speak/understand english. Just remember to speak slowly when you speak to a local. Malaysians are friendly so don't be afraid to approach and ask them for help.
@@azizahabdullah1143 how are you liking England? Eoin studied in England for 3 years and loved it!! We have found Malaysian people to be so so friendly and helpful but we will definitely keep it in mind to speak slowly lol
@@EoinandAisling Well, I suppose it's ok in small doses. Even though I've lived here for a long time, I'm still not used to the cold and wet winters and living in the north, our summers are not as good as those enjoyed by southerners. I really miss the food, weather, culture and lifestyle in singapore which are very similar to malaysia. Anyway, hope you enjoy your holiday in malaysia, do visit singapore but I must warn you it's very expensive! Try to learn some malay words as you will endear yourselves to the locals, eg "terima kasih" (thank you), selamat pagi and selamat petang (good morning/afternoon).
@@azizahabdullah1143 it would be a hard adjustment for sure, the weather in England and Ireland are very very different to what you are used to, at least you can holiday in the south and get to enjoy the best of English summers. We are planning to visit Singapore in a few weeks and we are very excited but unfortunately because of the expense we won't be able to stay for very long but can't wait to experience it first hand!! Thank you so much for those few words, we really want to make a better effort and get better at learning languages on our travels, wishing you all the best ☺️
