  • Hey Guys! This is my honest review of the 2024 Chevy Malibu LT! In this video I talk about what my first impressions were driving the Malibu for the first few days and my likes and dislikes about the car. I go through the 2024 Malibu's interior, features and drive it around giving it honest feedback on how it stands as America's last economy sedan!

    We are shopping for a new car. My wife loves the Malibu. We just made the last payment on our used 2016 Cruise. We overheated on Monday halfway to our vacation destination. We had to stay at a Days hotel and the car was $ 1,258. to repair. I read up on the Cruse and overheating seems to be a big problem with them. I’ve had Impala’s since 1967. Love Chevy to death. Had two Pontiac’s also but still G.M. I rode my 1999 Tracker to 139.000 then gave it away. The engine was still great. My 2003 Impala was the best ever. That big3.8 six just preformed wonderfully until I retired. 111.000 was the odometer when I parked her. It sat for three years and had to give it away. That car was absolutely perfect and didn’t deserve a death like I gave her. My gf bought the Cruse and my baby just sat……😢hopefully some kid grabbed her?? That engine has gone to 300.000 on some cars. Best engine Chevy ever built! Chevy Rocks!

    I have a 2016 Malibu and they haven’t changed the dash board at all. The console is the same as well. The only thing that has changed is the price.

    This is currently the only American FWD sedan still in production and it’s planned to end production this November. Compare that to the 1980s when many such vehicles entered production and they continued until the late 2010s when the options were reduced to only this model. Sadly, this may be everyone’s last chance to get such a vehicle brand new. Because many foreign brands offer a large selection of cheap sedans and many Americans prefer SUVs over sedans, the odds of any American brand ever investing in a new sedan ever again are slim to none, except for the 4-door sedan variant of the Ford Mustang which Ford has officially considered but that’ll almost certainly be RWD-only. So this is it, everyone’s last chance to get a brand new American FWD sedan before the window is closed forever, thus marking the end of an era.

      @anonymous3738 Месяц назад +2

      @@BrannAutoMedia BTW, this only includes ICE-powered models. Not only that, only vehicles with a proper sedan body are counted. So, for example, while the upcoming Dodge Charger will be ICE-powered and not just electric, it will be a liftback with a tailgate unlike its predecessor so it won’t be a true sedan anymore. After the Malibu is discontinued, the only American ICE-powered true sedans in production will be the Cadillac CT4 and CT5.

    • @anonymous3738
      @anonymous3738 Месяц назад

      @@BrannAutoMedia I almost forgot, there are several American sedans that are sold only in foreign markets, such as the Ford Mondeo, Lincoln Zephyr, Buick Regal etc. and all of those particular models are FWD. But obviously, they don’t count because they’re not available to buy here.

      I bought a used '21 malibu LT. I'm very perplex with the small turbo engine and the CVT to keep it beyond 100K. But, I went to a GM dealer for an oil change and ask the service guy if they have trouble with these. He replied these cars are "ultra-reliable" and they've never replaced an engine or a trans. I took it with a grain of salt but he had no reason to fool me since I didn't buy the car there and it's no longer made.
