Thank you so much for solving my problem! Haven't used my pump for quite some time and did not think about priming it. For a moment there I thought I would have to buy a new one. I primed it a few times, let the water fill the pump, still didn't work. What got mine going in the end was to turn the fan by hand, it was stuck - once I got the fan turning by hand and switching it on afterwards, it was back to normal operation. Thank you from a very chilly South Africa!
Thanks brother. Just helped a lot. I needed to help a friend who’s lost prime. I’ve done this a couple times before but it’s been many years and I needed a refresher course. 👍🏼
if you DON'T have municipal water to get the pump going, you can always borrow a few gallons of water from your neighbors/friends/grocery store (for moneys) in order to get your going. mine took about 2.5 gallons, but i got 4 gallons just in case. you can never have too much water when priming a pump!
I have a jet pump installed in my garage due to my home having a well. However, I have no idea how to use it. I haven't even touched the thing in over 2 years! I also pay $600 annually to the city water department for water. How can I get the most out of my well as well as save money on my water bill?

Will this work for a standpoint well?
If I accidentally left my pump running all night and now I can’t get the prime back. Help.
Why not just run it with the nut lose after filing it up to ensure its good?
Great vid
How many gallons would you say
Excellent!
Just what the hell is a sand point ?
It's basically a big straw that goes into the water table to syphon water for use.
@@homesforbeginners , In Australia we call it a sand spear.
