In this clip, 1090 Jake explains how YNW Melly has been accused of tampering with witnesses from inside jail. Melly, who is currently facing a capital offense, is alleged to have passed messages through inmates to the outside world. Tbf Vlad has always discussed open cases. Hell, he even brings lawyers on to discuss them in more detail, Tory Lanez etc. but what he doesn’t do is interview the person with the open case
It's an open case but these developments are public information. I think Vlad just wants Jake to explain the circumstances so the audience understands the details of the new charges since Jake obviously follows the trial. As long as Vlad doesn't say some goofy shit that could potentially bias a juror, I think it's fine to discuss an open case if you're just sticking to the published facts and looking to elaborate what it means or how it came about.

Go through the court systems and you will learn what paperwork is what, how court proceedings work and what is going on.
