      Thanks for the kind words! You are right, i'm trying to cut to the noise and get all those information for you guys. Awesome that you got your Fishbone! Do update us on the progress as well.
      for differentiating male and female, it takes practice and lots of time. usually we use the antenna to differentiate. Short = female , long = male. i do have the video on Male and Female but yes it takes time and lots of effort to learn and see.

      @@ShrimpSanctuary hopefully you dont mind me asking. But I do think I got more males than females. And some males are medium grade and other high grade. But ofcourse I want to breed the high grade male with my high grade female. What should I do with the other medium males?

      @@RedGalaxyFishbone remove them into another tank as usually males we use 1-2 high grade ones. The other males generally who don't make the cut will be remove into another all male tank as a back up. Since male and male don't breed nor do anything themselves, it is safe to have them all in one. Just in case the high grade male didn't make it, you will still have male shrimp available for use.

    Thank you so much for the video, genetics are so important, sometimes it is better for your colony to pay a little more ..

    Thank you for the very informative video! I would be very interested to know where I can find the information about the differences in grades. According to which criteria are the boas sorted into S, SS or SSS. Are there official rules?

    • @ShrimpSanctuary
      @ShrimpSanctuary  2 года назад +1

      Generally we learn from the creator of boa

      I have 4 shrimp in my tank which I think come very close to high grade boas. Who can tell me if the S, SS or SSS are straight. Or maybe they aren't boas at all.

    Hi Ben great explanation
    When choosing the quick route to breed boa's you showed a boa x red stardust, does it matter if the stardust is black or must it be red

    • @ShrimpSanctuary
      @ShrimpSanctuary  2 года назад +1

      Depends on what the outcome you would like but in general black.
