    I think for food, they prefer algae (spirulina) which you can buy cheap in powdered form, and even yeast, like for baking bread, in the baking aisle at the grocery store. So for growing algae it's good the bucket is in the sun, but it's probably not enough

    For me the best method for separating the eggs and shrimp is the 2 micro mesh strainers one captures the eggs and lets the brine shrimp pass through and the other captures the shrimp and lets the water pass through!!

    I use the same hatchery to grow the babies for my exclamation point rasboras. Was considering growing them bigger for them, and now after seeing your video, it looks like the adult shrimp are almost as big as my rasboras! LOL, I didn't know they got that big! 😆 I till think I'll try growing them and see what happens. They are very cool looking as adults. Thanks so much, I seen so many complicated systems and knew there had to be a simpler way, considering how super easy that hatchery is to use. I wonder why more people don't use it? I love mine and have the tiny BBS every day for my fish. Thanks so much for the great video! 😊

    I like the hatchery you've but I have never used it. Instead I have great success in decapsulating the eggs before putting them in the pop bottle for hatching. Having no shells and waste works well for me.

      How do you decapsulate the eggs.

    • @shaunneal9981
      @shaunneal9981 2 месяца назад +1

      @@Rajaguru.aradhya777 I soak half a tsp of brine shrimp eggs in 50ml of tap water in a cup. Leave it for an hour so until the eggs rehydrate. I then add three ice cubes and 200ml of pool chlorine. The reaction produces heat so the ice cubes keep the eggs cool. Continuously stir the eggs and watch the colour change. They go from brown to yellow to orange in about 3mins. When they are orange they are done. I put them in a brine shrimp net and rinse the chlorine off under the tap. I then put them in the hatchery but you can feed them without hatching them. You can use bleach and the different concentrations will determine how long it takes for them to change colour. The pool chlorine I use is strong so it doesn't take long.

    I use that as a separator, I had a terrible hatch rate using it. Normally. I use a bottle with an air stone. Then I use this to separate eggs from shrimp. I fill the inner rings with water then add my strained hatched shrimp and eggs to the outer ring. They swim to the middle and you don’t get any shells.

    i have got one more question i hope you dont mind .... ive been asking a lot lately sorry .... today is the day 7 of the culture i started and almost 98% they all died . is it because of the amonia produced by the egg shells or the unhatched eggs ? when i put them in the tub does i have to fish out the egg shells ? if the salt consternation is high or low do they die? some of them survived they were doing the mating action yesterday but today i have like 5 of them in the tub and they are like tiny doesnt look like they have been around for 6 days anyways . if the gravity is 1.5 do they survive or if i put them in the tank with 1.0 gravity will they survive as i dont have refractometer i use the hydrometer and its difficult to go for 1.05 if you understand ? please help me one last time and i wont bother you with any question again ! sorry and thank you

      So example 1/2 cup instant ocean salt per us gallon of water bit this is not exact you really need a refractometer or hydrometer to measure so you get 1.025 if your near a local pet shop they might sell you already mixed water or measure for you as it never mixes up exactly
