Holy crap! I cannot believe this wroked! I've been fighting: ChillTab, TapuFind, MacKeeper, and, most recently, a new malware that automatically redirects Google to Bing for weeks! I was so ready to throw away my Mac and get a new one because I was running thin on patience from having to delete these apps that kept reinstalling without my permission. Thank you so much!

I opened an application that asked me to update an application I had for playing films, this ended up opening loads of things I didn’t want and I couldn’t fix it all. Realised after a bit of researching, I had a big virus on my MacBook. I used the fist cleaner you suggested and I was right. NINE THREATS. Omg nearly passed out. I tried deleting "Mac Cleanup Pro" from my Applications in vain. Following the steps in this video helped identify all the areas infected by the virus and the removal of all treats immediately. I usually doubt these videos because they just have me download an actual virus but I tried this and it really works. My chrome randomly closes when I'm doing some schoolwork (must be a virus) and randomly pops up this annoying Mac Cleaner installer (also actually a virus) and I have never seen it after doing everything said in this video. So.... I can’t open any anti-virus software. I tried both Avg and the example you gave. Either one of them would open. Tried avg on my wife’s computer and it opened right way. I think my computer has a virus that won’t let me open the anti-virus. That or it wouldn’t allow it to install it properly. What do I do in this case? On latest Mac OS.

Uninstall Malwarebytes and Ccleaner. Bitdefender's adware scanner from step #3 will not need to be uninstalled. Only keep ONE antivirus installed.

I would NOT recommend turning off Filevault. I'd recommend using a password manager as to not forget your password.

When I ran the Avast Full system scan, it detected 5 infected files all from Malwarebytes that I previously downloaded. 🧐Do you know why?
Remove Malwarebytes, restart the computer, and then run Avast again. it's not uncommon for different security programs to conflict.

In the beginning of the video, when you were showing how to clean the computer through the finder First Aid option, you said it will slow down your computer. What did u mean by this? Did you mean that after running it using this method, ur computer will be slow? Or your computer will run slow while cleaning through the First Aid?
