I am so happy with Etsy! I got sales pretty instantly. Facebook no’s a Shan I think. I spent in advertising too. Not one sell! I am totally okay with the sharing pot with Etsy. Get your name out there keep up with videos and create a following. You won’t need Etsy. Open Shopify and transition! Keep up the hard work!

How did you get the two layers of ribbon?
Love the video.im waiting on my bulk of tulle to try this. I do the regular tutus. Do I have to use satin ribbon. I have some ribbon other ribbon that’s not silky like the satin one.
No you can use almost any ribbon but make sure it’s not so stiff or it won’t loop well
How did you get a second row of ribbon?
You put ribbon on both ends of the tulle. Then fold it in half so the ends of tulle with the ribbon is together. You see an inch down from the fold to insert your elastic. Although you have one piece of tulle, your folding it in half to create two layers

Try using a 60mm rotary cutter than the current 45mm you have. It helps when cutting a lot of layers at a time.

Love it. Casandra can you post the sizes I’m a little confused so if you need 8 yards why you cut 14 yards. Am I suppose to double for each size.
I cut 8 yards
And 14” long so when you fold it it is a 7” tutu
I'm not doing Facebook selling too, its just a mess with people being cheap and butt holes. I just send them the same info of this is an ad and you need to place an order on etsy
Casandra do not use marketplace for your handmade business. Marketplace I see it as just getting second hand stuff. I’m glad you went with Etsy as it’s easier for the customers and you and your safety. Yes that guy that you talk about is creepy. Your work is gorgeous and you deserve $ for your hard work. Do not undercut yourself. I know I haven’t even start out yet but I have done craft fair in the past and I don’t like it. You go into those craft fair not knowing the audience that’s coming in to shop and if the product you are selling is for those audience. I did very poorly and I gave up. But this time I took a business writing class and I am working on getting all my plans and financial straight before I start selling so I can keep up with my bookkeeping. Before I don’t know nothing and my bookkeeping was poor and missing a lot of crucial information. I know nothing about business. But taking my business writing class and working on my plans help me understand a lot about the business side.

I was dumb enough to give my addres out last week. This guy wanted uniforms so he gave me all the info and gave him a price. He accepted and then asked for the address to see if it was nearby to do a pick up or if it needed to be shipped. So I gave him my address and he blocked me afterwards. So idk maybe he didn't want the order anymore maybe he just wanted to find out prices or idk but it was really weird !

You will have to measure her, measure her waist and how long you want it, if you want the tutu 10” long then cut your tulle at 18” then when you add the 2 ribbons you will get 10” tutu

If you are doing 2 ribbons
You sew one to one side and the other to the other side of the tulle
Then you fold it over

Where do you get your tulle ?
BB Craft, do you use wire in your ribbon to make the curls so perfect or it’s just regular ribbon? I was seeing how you were arranging the ribbon and they were already so curly on the way mines looks if I were to mess around with them they will just be flat with a little bit of curl if that makes sense

Quick question, how do you recieve payments from people who ordererd from you then or if you had orders from people you would drop off too, I know you said you don't do it anymore on Facebook.

I preferred Cash App
I still have my fb page , just don’t take orders on there anymore, but it’s good to have a page where people can feel more confident buying from you and they can see reviews.

I have a few measurements in the description, now if you want more fluff you can always add more yards
