Was a very good but sad story. Those poor children, breaks my heart. She was a good mother and wife! I too have experienced deceit and heartbreak. Our child was grown and I told her our problems are not hers.

I have seen Emma Thompson in so Very many films and thought many times how wonderful her voice would be in a "book on tape"... but I'm not much of a fan of the Jane Austin types of stories, so I figured I'd never actually hear it. The first time listening here,... I was amazed the similarity. Pretty much how I would expect. Your voice is wonderful,.. some of the stories are a bit on the mushy side for me, but they're short, so still pleasant to listen to... Thank You!

As I listened to this story, I felt dissapointed of Anthony's behavior. He forgot all about his wife and their friendship at the begining of their courtship. For Brittany no good from the begining. Her escapade with baldhead professor. Sold her body for grades abd performance with him. Although she had broken a husband and wife relationship shd did not stop. She moved away, did not do anything to elevate herself but do the same thing all over again. She knew about Anthony's wife and children but lust and selfishness got hold of her again. Eventually what happen? Everything of her selfless worth exposed. The happy ending came upon Chloe, Charles ans the two children. I must say MADAM and Narrator, this story !!!!!!!!!

A long story to say the least. But it does show us how one man got rotten by a toxic woman, and the wife was able to find happiness afterwards. I vow to never betray my marriage when it happens.
