The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Douglas destroyed his marriage with a wife who loved him, supported, bore his children, and devoted her life to him. She was always faithful to him too. He ruined a good thing by his choice alone. I feel no pity for him.

I titled that story " THE DOG AND ITS SHADOW" Douglas was too gullible. He only sees from imaginable lusty eyes. Tall, slim, beautiful. Those were the answers to his cravings. (That was Bianca and Chandra) both of them were all for pleasures and men's wealth. They didn't care whose lives they destroy once their desires were met. Chandra herself actually asking Douglas to divorce his wife and children to live with her. Gullible Douglas accepting that decision-making. To Chandra's surprise Douglas could not make the monies in the city because not much offers in the city so she had to break up the relationship. Now Douglas doesn't smoke. He should have been strong in character to tell Bianca about her smoking for him not to encourage her far-less to go and buy cigarettes for her. To end my summation: Isabel his wife beautiful, yes! A homely woman, so caring, a good wife who loves the husband, a good mother for the children but those things were not good for Douglas. Well he came back home with his tail between his legs. May I ask just so that I understand; what value does makeup add to a woman? Isn't it just for aesthetic exterior beauty? I'm black and I've never used makeup and anyway some women look uglier with makeup than without. Men should stop looking at women as if they are their robots to do whatever they want their women to do. Men develop potbellies but I've never heard of any woman who demeaned her husband for getting fat. When men stop looking for aesthetic beauty and start looking for the inner one they'll be happier than trying to manipulate their wives to fit unreasonable images.
