  • The BMW M3 E30 Evolution is a special edition of the famous BMW M3 sports car, released in the late 1980s. The original M3 E30 model was introduced in 1986, initially developed as a racing car to compete in the European Touring Car Championship and other motorsport competitions.
The M3 E30 quickly became popular not only among racers but also among car enthusiasts due to its outstanding features - a powerful engine, excellent dynamics, and superb handling. The foundation for all M3 E30s was the 4-cylinder S14 engine with a 2.3-liter displacement.
As part of further model development, BMW released several limited editions known as Evolution (or Evo), which offered enhanced technical specifications and exclusive design details. There were several versions of Evolution, including Evolution I (1987), Evolution II (1988), and the Cecotto Edition (1989, named after the famous racer Johnny Cecotto).
The 1988 Evolution II had an increased engine displacement to 2.5 liters and a power output of 220 horsepower. Additionally, modifications included improvements to the aerodynamic body kit, upgraded suspension, and optimized weight. These enhancements allowed the car to demonstrate even more impressive performance on the track.
The BMW M3 E30 Evolution has left a significant mark in automotive history, becoming an icon among sports cars and continuing to inspire motorists and developers around the world.
