It wouldn't hurt so much if they were remaining the Coyotes brand. But they are so hell bent on a rebrand, rename that I cant help but to be disgusted with NHL fans opinion from around the league and in utah. I don't care how many other teams in the past have moved and changed names. The Jazz didn't change for Utah why should the Coyotes. Why wouldn't they embrace getting the brand Coyotes..it's because they all just really want their own expansion team which is fine but an established brand name with fan base doesn't need to go extinct for utah to gain a team.. the NHL should have just let Salt lake create a new team. Rest in peace Kachinas.
@kwaty No the Jets exist now.. So what team will be abandoning their fans to recreate the Coyotes in AZ since the thrashers became the jets now Winnipeg has a team again.
I love this team, always, and I feel sorry now. It will never be the same in the next place, but i wish the tram good luck in the future. ❤❤❤❤

The rename was part of the deal. The previous owner wants to keep the Coyotes name and brand. It wasn't Ryan Smiths choice.
By that logic should they not still be called the Jets?
