In this video I'll show you great inexpensive fuel bottle that can be used with many liquid fuel stoves. Enjoy! To purchase on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Laken-195-Fuel-...
In the video the thickness of the mouth on the Optimus bottle appears to be the same as the Laken. Wondering did you see if the safety cap from the Optimus bottle would work on the Laken
does the bottle have some kind of pressure release valve? you would think the gas would build up a lot of pressure and spew gas out when you open the bottle or explode. under the pressure from the gas expanding.
also as a way to add small amount of primer fuel from a large reservoir say the 35 as a refill for the 11 oz. use the small hole to dribble a prime charge on to a msr whisper
You can buy old style caps for at least the msr and optimus. Look for 'expedition caps.' These new bottles look serviceable. Typically I just keep an eye on steep and cheap or sierra trading post. They usually have seasonal clearances.
@@jiujitsu2000 I would be ok with buyin the bottle and the pump together, as long as i save money in comparison to buying the whole set (bottle, pump and stove)
I would say .. almost certain, the thickness of the bottle is same or almost the same. MSR gives you the capacity to the fuel line (confirmed) - not the whole bottle, so you can use all that amount of fuel (stated on the bottle) with the pump. But the bottle on the review - you can not. Pay attention to the info on the bottle - the claimed capacity, and actual usable amount of fuel with the fuel pump. Seems like the quality very close to others.
ya better check the max fuel lines I think they are miss marked check against an msr fill it to a point with out the pump the line should be higher up with pump as when placing pump in it displaces fuel there by causing level to rise
ok that's a point I'm gonna get ya on yes the holes in cap do help with pressure but not the point of them they are meant to act like the pour through cap thermos for adding alcohol to alcohol stoves as 1 use of these bottles
i think you couldve added some more seflie intro shots.
Thank you Sir for all videos, they are very interesting.I will visit your channel more often.Have a great day!
Very Cool And A Great Price!
+lonestarrider thank you brotha! I like it!
for me id have the 11 msr for on the stove and the 35 as a refill I'm not sure I would trust the thinner walls for high pressure
great video thanks for info
