I am half Bengali and half Turkish, and I grew up in London.I am in my 30s and married to a white Scandinavian. While I have not directly experienced racism, but, I did encounter it indirectly. Whenever I faced such situations, I made sure the individuals responsible apologized and recognised that I belonged here as much as they did.
I have always been a top student in my class. I graduated with a First-class degree and have a comprehensive education in British history. This includes knowledge of today's white British population - who they are and where they come from. So, that allows me to educate them about their background and telling that they are descendants of Germans, French and Scandinavian immigrants. However, the best thing to do is ignore if the racists are far-right extremists. Education is one they have missed the most in their whole lives.
This is my first time watching you guys. Thanks for sharing your stories. Love & respect 🫶🏼

Alex I’ve been around Asians for 59yrs and I totally hate racists it is just jealousy and ignorance I’ve got tons of Asian friends and family you two are so well matched good look to you both live your life and be happy with each other we are all gods children no matter who you are 🇬🇧👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
God bless you. The world needs more people like you!
As a first generation mixed Asian/ White person growing up here (I’m in my mid 50’s) I’ve observed waves of intolerance align with economics, some tough lessons my parents learnt, it’s mostly easier to live in ethnically diverse areas, kids are far better equipped to deal with prejudice when they fully understand their heritage, colonialism etc, be confident that Britishness is inclusive and no one’s going anywhere. I’ve also lived in Southern Europe and whilst Britain is imperfect it’s not even close to the systemic racism I’ve seen elsewhere.
This happens way too often and it’s very hard to point out that someone is picking on us because we are not white or because we don’t look like them. We end up looking mad for thinking such a thing. We need more people to notice such things and point them out when they are happening. Not all end up saying something outwardly racist but the way they act out is their racism leading their actions
Love the karma😀😀😀🫶🏼💪🏼🫶🏼
I think people are depressed in general so the more desperate some get they vent by turning to racism, it's a weakness and very cowardly
This Type and Style of Racism is Rife on the Tube all day long,in Cemtral London ,in The work place and common. Towards esp southern Asian Men.
Aww so sorry to hear about your experiences.
The Tommy Robinson devotees are brainwashed and inciting ha tred towards Asians.
My sisters traveled on the train recently and they said a group of Hijabi ladies sat down in the train.
2 white guys were calling them monsters (due to the current conflict in Gaza) and said “yeah get off you monsters” when they were leaving the train.
I believe the ladies were not aware what the men were saying.
It’s definitely scary out there for Asian women and men.
Cute couple ❤️ stay safe and keep smiling xx
Great couple Allahumma barik may Allah of the universe preserve you both and protect you from all baddies out there. Aameen
Afsar, erokom ghotona onek hoy amar shongeu hoyese. Apni onek dhorjyoshil, Allah or upor bhorosha rakhun, tini na chaile kunu khoti hobena. Ghotona shune onek bhalo laglo. Dhonno baad janassi Bharat theke❤
I work for the NHS in a predominantly white area and always get the “oh your English is really good..”. And then when I say I was born here they never no how to respond lol
Great
Your racism encounters are light work fam lol I dont believe in micro-aggressions.
Come out to places like Luton, MK, Northampton, Burnley, Bradford, West Brom, Peterborough and you will see real racism lol
I agree but when someone is upfront racist it’s easy to point out and call the police but when it’s done on a lowkey it’s hard to call for help
Thank you for sharing your experience. Im sorry that you had to go through that and yes it is sad that brown people and especially people who are visibly Muslim suffer racism in this day and age. Just one thing i would like to point out if I may. Please try and replace the word Islamophobia with anti-islam or anti-muslim. The west created the word for prejudice against islam as Islamophobia meaning phobia (fear) of islam. It is not a phobia of islam it is a hatred against islam therefore anti-islam or anti-Muslim, just like anti-semetic (not semitephobia) and anti-christ. These people who attack muslims definitely have no phobia of Islam but pure hate.
Thank you for making a video on such an important topic.
Thank you - this is a really interesting point and definitely one we will take on board!
You make nice couple
