The "We Stopped Playing" is something I would post. I can be a petty person, but that is at home, and I don't run a corporation. It honestly seems like a "gamer moment" and rage quitting the site.
Sometimes brands are so well-loved that people treat them like a person. The same is true for cherished IPs. Seeing them turn up dead basically would be cause for an autopsy in real life. In financial terms it's called an audit. I believe the phrase then is- "audit Comcast."
Some of my favorite college memories were ditching class to stay home and watch Icons and cinematech. I'll never forgive them for the clown show that was the revival.

Let's say I don't have a gaming channel, but have an apple stand. Option 1: draw attention to my product by showcasing the best looking, reddest, plumpest apples I have. And hope they buy some bread or pie or random other crap I have. Option 2: hide the apples and showcase piles of dog crap and rotting trash, then hire a person to scream at people who point out that I'm showcasing trash. Which basic business model seems like it will be more successful?
What pisses me off is this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. G4 is gone for good and they could've taken a moment to make a heartfelt farewell, to thank the fans for everything. Yeah this reboot was a disaster but G4 still had a significance in gaming culture and they could've taken the highroad and gone out on at least a bittersweet note. This is what happens when conglomerates deprecate their IP which which winds up forcing them into depreciating it commensurately. Why though? As you and anyone with common sense and knowledge of the media property involved can say this was an unforced error and basically preemptively blowing up the entrance to an established reliable if not incredibly valuable gold mine. Between this and the physical property they built you got to be wondering if they were looking for a massive write-off here. Because this was an abortion by most any measure. I was arguing that they should have put a studio in Texas. The reason I said that was because Texas is warm just like California but significantly cheaper to operate things in. I also believed the Midwest could have easily been another good spot as well since that too is cheaper but it's not as warm as California and the political climate is more of a swing state kind of climate for the most part. But I feel having the studio in California was a huge mistake.
I'm reminded of a line from the 'Overlord' light novels-turned-anime: "How dare you hurt the one I love! I'll torture you to death, and then resurrect you so I can do it all over again!" Only in this case, Adam Sessler and Frosk went, "How dare you refuse to sit there and listen to us verbally tear you down! We'll mutilate our own bodies and torture ourselves to death, and then our virtue signaling employers will resurrect us so we can reenact this snuff show to visually torture you again!"
Morgan Webb was a legit gamer. She ended up writing like 20 percent of the show's material and without her, the show wouldn't have had it's humor. Add on top of that her work ethic, you can see how sad she was to know that she was about to lose her job after Adam was fired for being a flake. It's a shame that she didn't want to be a part of the show today, but I can understand it. Who would want to go to work with these creeps.
I liked watching X-play because Morgan and Adam were fun to watch, I enjoyed the humor, the little skits, and the reviews. Adam getting toxic and political was a little upsetting because of how he started figuratively spitting on half of his audience. I didn’t watch Morgan Webb just because she was attractive like Frosk seems to think, but because she was funny and enjoyable to watch, unlike Frosk.

From what I've seen with new studios in the LA county area, they hardly EVER finish the ceiling portion or address stuff like the vent shafts and piping. Its some weird cost cutting thing despite how janky it looks when you splurge on everything else.

HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS from Meta's failure. All that money could've went to something that could've actually made a difference in this world. But nope! Well, judging by how Google's work office is filled with yoga rooms, spa, meditation safe spaces, cafeteria with gourmet meals and 12 different single source coffees, fun slides to get to the lower floors, etc. Those kinds of indulgences are the expectation and norm for woke employees it seems.
We didn't watch because they were boring and didn't know how to produce and release their content in an effective manner. Frosk's rant was just the icing on the cake. For some reason, RUclips TV carries G4, and as I type it's still chugging along, with lots of reruns of SMOSH, followed by lots of reruns of Name Your Price, followed by lots of reruns of Hey Donna! I succumbed to temptation and actually watched a little Hey Donna! Talk about total cringe...

I just don't get why they didn't buy a house and convert it into their studio. You don't need all of this to do what they were doing.
Stupidy was their undoing! Everything I seen about this, points to lack of planning ahead, GROSS mismanagement from the top down and no one capable of thinking things through, thus a MASSIVE overhead, and all they really needed is just a single corner office or a cupboard under the stairs, would of saved them a TON of money but alas, G4 was their own undoing with Frosk's rant being the knife that started the final collapse of this house of cards!

HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS from Meta's failure. All that money could've went to something that could've actually made a difference in this world. But nope! It ain't about helping the common man or investing in the human race's future. It's about spending money to make money, and if they don't make money? Welp they'll just invest in something else with the rest of their seemingly infinite amounts of it.

it's likely that some studios would rather scrap all the content on their channels. instead of having to pay out royalties or deal with drama from the content. due to former staff members or guest stars.

Well, judging by how Google's work office is filled with yoga rooms, spa, meditation safe spaces, cafeteria with gourmet meals and 12 different single source coffees, fun slides to get to the lower floors, etc. Those kinds of indulgences are the expectation and norm for woke employees it seems.

We didn't watch because they were boring and didn't know how to produce and release their content in an effective manner. Frosk's rant was just the icing on the cake.
Not to mention there was actual censorship in chats of matters related to the ownership of the channel. Even when people didn't understand it was owned by Comcast there was censorship ramming it home
For some reason, RUclips TV carries G4, and as I type it's still chugging along, with lots of reruns of SMOSH, followed by lots of reruns of Name Your Price, followed by lots of reruns of Hey Donna! I succumbed to temptation and actually watched a little Hey Donna! Talk about total cringe...
