I still have my Breyer Horse collection from the '70's & '80's. Omgosh, you just displayed the horses. I have every 1 you have there. They're from my "era". How cool.
I've been selling all of my horse collection. I had many of the same horses, including the metal... it's hard to make the money back with the economy right now.
Ok, the respect, kindness, and when you said the personal things would go back to the family, you made me cry. Literally. I had a older gentleman take what I had left of my Mom, Dad and Grandma and before we could get to him to stop him, he even burned some of it. He wasnt supposed to have any of it. My Momma and Daddy have moved to Heaven, they things that were my Grandparents, my heart truly hurts. I have 3 little children they never met my Dad ond onlt one met my Momma. Sir, the gift you're giving this family, is worth more than a Billion of these lockers. Thank you. Seriously, Thank you and for that rrason, Im subbing and sharing. What a unusual heart you and your wife have in a world of entitlement... God touched my heart through you. I wish someone had been a fraction of this compassionate with my families things. It was all I had of them. Those horses are HUGE collectors items and high dollar. People usually have to buy them one or two at a time because they ain't cheap in the Southern States especially. This was interesting. I have never seen your channel before, thank you for sharing you adventures
So....Breyer collector here. You have a nice collection of 1980s - 1990s era Breyers. (They are made of cellulose acetate, which is a type of plastic, and are airbrushed at the factory.) Most of them are in the Traditional scale, with a few in the Classic scale. The Western Prancer - the palomino you have lying down, with the front leg raised, should have chain reins and a plastic saddle. Two of them are based on books by Marguerite Henry - the textured one you picked up is Misty of Chincoteague, and the chestnut pinto with his head tilted slightly is San Domingo. The first one you unwrapped is the Black Stallion, based on the book by Walter Farley. (That doesn't make them more valuable; just information on what they are.) Most of them are worth right around $30 - $45, with the Classics being worth somewhat less. All in all a nice vintage collection of Breyer Model Horses.
The stringed item is called a marionette, not a puppet. 😀 And you crack me up when you look through old rock albums, because you have no idea how popular some of the groups were back in the day. You make me feel old since I know so many of them. lol
Flutes are selling for close to $400 last time I checked for a friend, they need to have good pads to play properly. That is a great find, I am sure you can clean it up a bit and it will look a lot nicer. I still say that Ashley and Grandma Venture pick the best units, lol. See you all soon at your next yard sale.
Value on these depends on a LOT of factors - condition. desirability of the model, production run (regular run, holiday, special event like BreyerFest, model produced for one of the clubs). Not all Breyers are worth a lot.
You got a better deal than I thought you would. It looked like they are untreated and deteriorated. You could hear the crinkle and see the "skin dust" . Congrats.@@WadesVentures
Glad to see you back. You two are hilarious! When Ashley keeps stating the man in the photo, "Is Personal" I laughed out loud. Also, when she tells Wade you take out the animal hides, it was too funny. Wishing you two the best.
The "felt" are rolls of felt bandages for horses: for protection when travelling or training. Finer weight bandages are sometimes used in competition if permitted by the rue.
That was one heck of a comeback Wade and Ashley!! Be careful with all of that bragging, Wade, don't jinx yourself. But you do, do it jokingly, I know. Loved that unit.
I had a few of the larger Breyer horses when I was a kid.One was a palomino, and really pretty! I played with my barbies together with the horses..I loved them!
The Bryers horses are very collectible. You will be amazed at what you can get. My daughter had a large collection of these in the 90. Viewing them sparked many memories.
Dinosaur Hill was a very popular Toy Store in New York, specifically in the East Village area. Their toys, especially the Marionettes (puppets) were handmade. Each toy there was unique and mostly handcrafted. Pam Pier was the owner of the store. Sadly the store closed after 37 years.

Wonderful information about the origin of the marionettes. Thank you for sharing.
Wow that horse collection is amazing.. Wish I could send you what Wikipedia says about those horses. Would be great if one of those was worth a few thousand.. you kids deserve it !! ❤❤❤
Yeah, sorry but no. Just regular run, very common models. Look to be in pretty good condition, but only each worth $15 (the smaller ones) to $45, maybe $50 at the most.
YES! That is a poorly tanned hide. It needs to be worked by someone in leather/taxidermy. Actually, my daughter IS a taxidermist, and I would't mind giving those to her! Yes, the nasty dead animals LOL. I watch for fabric and craft materials, but I make medieval recreations. Specific kinda requirements. (horns, bones, teeth, furs, wooden items, bronze, linen, wool, iron, simple pottery and baskets) Also, tools to craft these items, though I have most of them. Those horses cover the cost of the unit. They are very pricey. Laura Asley sheets, they're good! I love that tallboy dresser!!!! Seeing what looks like Ikea Ivar shelving, lots if other wood showing! Those albums! LOL I know I had half of them at the time. And yes, I had way too much fun in the 70's!
I have a strange question but possibly you'll be able to help me. A few years ago, a unit was sold in Albany, Oregon that had my in laws things in it. In the unit there was a green painted chest that held our family pictures. I'm curious if you were the one who bought it and if you have the pictures or know who does. I'm sure it's long gone and had we known the unit was behind on the payments we would have paid for it.
Flutes are not out of silver, but have silver in them, its mostly some type of metal. The more silver you have in it the better it sounds. If I would have found that I would have try it out at the moment cuse how cool is that (Im a flutist btw so thats why,I'd love to try that flute)
Wow great unit .. 70’s were wild and fun for sure ..love the dresser .. and I don’t live far from you anyway.. 2 1/2 hours .. the fur pieces maybe a badger maybe??
(10:20) “Does anyone remember making mixed tapes?” Boy do I! In the late 60’s I remember recording songs from the radio with my dad’s portable tape recorder with a microphone! Most songs had the beginning start late and the end had the radio DJ breaking in before you can hear me mumble and turn it off! Ahh! The good old days! 🤭
Best advise I can give u is ...DONT SELL ANYTHING UNLESS U DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON IT FIRST . Look everything up and match it to THE EXACT ITEM.......start with a high price cause buyers will bargain !! Don’t let anybody LOWBALL U!!
That Nordic Trac is a cross country skiing trainer. I used to have one back in 1990 and I used it to get ready for ski season. Even was able to take off 25lbs using it.
I loved when you opened up the Heavy horse. That was made out of Bronze!! That unit screamed the 70's. I loved the Furniture. One of the pieces was a futon!!!!! I had one for eons. The lady who owned that storage had to of passed. Her kids probably knew nothing of that storage. The horse equipment, the Chaps were the blue things, the leather smells heavenly. If you come across tuperware i would love to get it! Welcome Back!!
The money you must lose. The horse is probably bronze. VERY expensive. If this is the business you've chosen maybe learn a bit about the things you deal with.
Shaun you really make me laugh! I love all three of you, plus the babies!! Shaun you really got the habit of repeating yourself lol. Watching these kids, has motivated me , to get rid of as much STUFF , .AS I POSSIBLY CAN .now , I'm 72 and don't need much to run on. My children don't appreciate or want our old table and chairs ,even though they have our lives layered into them with memories of home life , Noone seems to value the virtue of memories anymore , This indicates to me , civilisation, is about to fold in on itself , because foundations are being turned to nothing but dust or dollars , and that's what will become of my life too, DID any of it count , or will I end up like these forgotten people , my bones being picked over , G,BYE. ❤
You are so right 😢! We all worked so hard, we saved for the things we wanted. Our purchases were taken care of and lasted years. Everything now is disposable. Our solid oak furniture is being replaced with cardboard furniture that fills the landfill. When we downsized we listed things on marketplace and Craig’s list. Ended up pricing them for Free. They asked if we could deliver…🤦🏻♀️
Oh! My goodness! Great find! I just came across y'all a little while ago and I absolutely feel in love with those Bryer Model horses! I'm sixty four years old and I started collecting them when I was just a little girl, to make a long story short they got destroyed in my older years, when I seen those Beautiful horses those memories of all the years I collected them are now faded memories. I hope whoever gets them enjoy them like I did and take precious care of them! I wish I had the money I would love to buy them all. I hope they go to a good home. By the way, I'm from West Virginia, I really enjoy watching your video even if this is the first time watching y'all. Keep up the videos and God bless y'all. Those albums were the music in my era and yes! Bryer is an excellent quality of those horses!
Came for the horses, I had a bunch of these when I was younger. This is a fine collection. Also, 700 comments late but probably you already got the info that Jaz drives were made by iomega and they were a form of storage bigger than a 1.5 floppy disk. Iomega also made a very popular Zip drive. Both I think were more commonly used among Mac users, but not only.
Finds a box full of vintage tapes. Doesn’t bother looking through any of them and chucks them to the side. Does this guy know what he’s doing at all or…?
You got some nice, in great condition with the box vintage jewelry. Along with all the other costume jewelry. How fun to sort thru it. You got a lot of nice tack for the horses.
Please don't bash the pearls about. I cringed every time you threw them back into their boxes. if you dent them they become worthless. They are probably all cultured pearls meaning they have a thin coating of nacre on an underlying bead. The pearls that look like a string of rice are called seed pearls. They are 100% natural pearls. Some of the costume jewelry can be extremely valuable to collectors but only if undamaged. Please.
The flute is an Artley silver plated model. Artley flutes are generally student models - I actually have one my parents gave me in the early 1970s, but it is not silver plated. Worth several hundred dollars used.
Some of these comments were pretty brutal but why the need ? I think it was uncalled for. You couldn't give any words of love or encouragement to Wade? They work their asses off all year round in all types of weather and they film some of it just for you. Where's the appreciation? You get to see the fun parts which is the discoveries! But what you don't get to see is all the not so fun stuff like the discarding, the cleaning of the items, the listings on ebay, the packaging, the mailing off, sorting, shelving, complaints, refunds....etc If you saw it all you would then understand their lives aren't all that glamorous after all and you would understand why the long much needed vacations ! ❤ Thank you Wade for everything especially you funny comeback to these brutal remarks ! 😂❤ You had me laughing! Please return to filming. Devoted fans like me are waiting! And l like it when you say "It's like brand new !" What other words can better describe it ? 😂 And l would suggest you turn off comments at times Wade! Or ban people! You don't need it nor does any of your family members such as Ashley and Grandma !!But Come back soon Wade! I know filming slows down the emptying of units and time is valueable but PLEASE come back !!😢 I THINK I NEED TO BECOME A MEMBER AND JOIN !!!😮 COME BACK WADE 😢 !!! ❤
When my mom had each of us 1:01 3 kids. My dad bought those horses. Not sure why. We boxed up the horses when she went to hospice. When she passed I wanted the horses.they went from a water cooler house. To a pod. Then to my house at the beach. I put them out. After a year they had crumbed. To dust. Very sad. I was told they had to always stay in the same investment. I love your wife and mom you are a lucky man
There is no doubt that you have been fortunate to buy some great units and found some great items. Unfortunately, your knowledge base has not increased regarding stuff you've found. Many times, you misidentify items and potential values. I suggest less "gloating and bragging" and let your videos speak for you. Your wife is a saint and the voice of reason. I wish you continued success and the best for your family.
It's almost weird seeing you with antiques, before you went on vacation you were the king of everything brand new with tags! Heehee lol! My sister had horses like that when she was younger. Worth some money! But you had your money back plus some with the doh house! Congrats! Those pelts could be a wolverine?? I think those are the right colors? Not sure just guessing. I can't think of anything else it might be. Good luck!!
It drives me crazy how you just ignore your beautiful wife. And I won’t watch when your mother is involved bc she always has to say/guess what’s in a box and she talks way too much.
I still have my Breyer Horse collection from the '70's & '80's.

The Laura Ashley sheets are high quality and still very collectable
wall saddle rack and flannel wraps for horse legs

Same here! And he looks like he's wearing a hoodie and boxer shorts.........that don't match.
My sister had a ton Bryer Horses and they are hand painted
Mallorca pearls and Queen Anne Collection are nice man made pearls. Both have value. In general, Mallorca more valuable.
@janreason1518 I’m 41 and I knew alot of those albums! Either I was brought up right or they lived sheltered lives lol
9i want. The records
Flutes are selling for close to $400 last time I checked for a friend, they need to have good pads to play properly. That is a great find, I am sure you can clean it up a bit and it will look a lot nicer.

I follow The Homeschool Picker, and when she finds those horses, she get super excited. They are very pricey!!! That unit is gold so far! Wow

I thought of Kayla too when he found those!
The previous owner of this unit is of the same generation of me. I would love to have all those albums..
The pelts look like
wolverine. If it is, they are expensive. However it looks like it was not treated. $750.00 to up to $1500.00
selling all 4 for $800 total good deal? ;)
You got a better deal than I thought you would. It looked like they are untreated and deteriorated. You could hear the crinkle and see the "skin dust" . Congrats.@@WadesVentures
Looks more like badger
Yes looks like some leather treatment is needed to soften it up
I think it looks Is like a badger pelt
I know most of those horses. Had most of those since I was a kid. So cool you found some.
Glad to see you back.
You two are hilarious!
When Ashley keeps stating the man in the photo, "Is Personal" I laughed out loud.
Also, when she tells Wade you take out the animal hides, it was too funny.
Wishing you two the best.
An Artley flute is good for a student joining the school band. It is made of brass and is silver olated.
Great unit for 30$. It's always exciting to watch what comes out of all the boxes. (Even though you repeat yourself a lot😉)
@7:45: The orange rack mounts to a wall and holds a saddle. There’s some serious equestrian stuff there.
The "felt" are rolls of felt bandages for horses: for protection when travelling or training. Finer weight bandages are sometimes used in competition if permitted by the rue.
You dont jhave to repeat yourself so much. We can hear and comprehend.❤

Glad you’re back. That rolls of ‘felt’ is polo wraps for horses.
The CSNY album Deja Vu was a great favourite of mine in the early 1970s. What a great box of vinyl!
This is murder for anyone with ocd. Watching him rip into every thing. The felt is precious, so difficult to find quality felt these days.
Sometimes the ignorance and the greed are a tiny bit annoying....
I agree

Love when you find jewellery this unit is amazing
I think the horse is bronze and can be worth a lot if makers name is on it.
If there brass they hold the ball $300
@susanbattles2928 bronze is better. If it's an older bronze cast, it could be worth thousands.
Yes the horse looks bronze. $$$
Lol ive always just taken them to the scrap yard for my quick 10 bucks lol.
Nice to see you back glad you had good holiday x
YES! That is a poorly tanned hide. It needs to be worked by someone in leather/taxidermy. Actually, my daughter IS a taxidermist, and I would't mind giving those to her! Those preserved but not yet tanned hides you found at the 28:04 mark were obviously sheep hides! Each more valuable than the price of the unit! 😏
Real Hides goes from 170 to 850 or more sometimes. Sheeps clean goed around 250 ish.(euro's)

The necklace and earring are not Swarovski, but Post WWII faceted Austrian crystal(Bohemian) crystal.
The Australian opal if vintage could be worth thousands! I looked it up, quite a range of prices. $600-10k. Hopefully he gets it appraised.😊

Dude..... AUSTRALIAN OPAL..... AUSTRALIA!!! AUS🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Lol, I had to look again because those opals are worth a fortune, but from Australia 😅
So glad to see you again! Glad you’re all feeling well again. Amazing unit
Maybe you should get a loudspeaker and announce 14 karat gold about fifty times. lol
I love your wife and mom you are a lucky man
Just one of those Breyer horses will pay for your unit. They are NOT handpainted.
Do you see if not can I buy the material. So I can sew🤔🤗🐇And happy Easter to you.from Hawaii.
I agree with you 100%!! He brags so much but yet he's no clue to what he's looking at
@@Babycarrots21his bragging is disgusting. Sometimes I have shut it down or hit Mute button!
Good luck!!
you both have alot to learn
I’m glad you’re back
Please don’t knock the crystal pieces together.
Wow those are some fabulous albums. 😮 Yep just got my roommate a new Wolf pocket Watch. Nice unit for 30.00 😊❤
I feel weird about watching a grown man going through boxes, in his underwear.😂🤣
We had a great time in the 70's!! 😊😊
Some Breyer horses are highly collectible
Welcome back! We missed you. Love your units this one today is exciting.
You two are surprisingly uninformed for what you do.
Glad to see you back!
Have you been in jail ? Lol
This is the first time I've seen this person. Very interesting and not one bleep to mask bad language. Nice people.
It drives me crazy how you just ignore your beautiful wife. And I won’t watch when your mother is involved bc she always has to say/guess what’s in a box and she talks way too much.
What you talking about . Ffs stop being a troll .
Do you have an online auction site?
Good to have you back
Glad to see you back🎉🎉🎉🎉
