I love how mat goes “I know I’m asking for a lot” when talking about the whole battlefield ordeal but honestly you aren’t asking for a lot. I think people just get burnt out on the game sometimes and it takes a controversial patch for it to tick people off. I'm abit burnt out on it atm and haven't played it for a few weeks. However I think the devs need to be more respondent

That's what happened to me. I barely played from about Burnt Horizon to Ember rise and got back into it during the last month or so of Shifting Tides. Really renwed my interest in the game.
I feel that, been playing since Black Ice and I used to sink hours into this game and now I can barely play 4-5 matches every other day.

Pengu's list of things Ubi needs to fix was long. He expanded on it for 2 hours, but in reality, what concerns me most is cheating and sound. Everything else, while it would be great to fix some issues, I can get used to it and play around it.
Stairs are the worst part. Is he up, or down, 50/50 guess
The 90deg sound bug, and the 100% health total desaturation bug are two that have been super annoying recently

There are people that are understanding the struggles devs are having working at home but at the same time are criticising the game respectfully.

They should look into the sound on console, at least on xbox it is really inconsistent, it has been like this for a while now, to the point at which you can't hear people right by you or hear misleading noises. Me and my friends have noticed this often and it actually really makes siege hard to play sometimes.
heavy drone dont worry sound on PC is dogshit too. Silent dropping still exists, as well as silent rappelling
When I spectate I often have no sound this includes cams for some reason and sound in general is just bad

I don’t think siege needs saving from dying I think they need saving from themselves. Every balance decision lately Has people in the community asking why would they do this. My friend stopped playing because he wanted to in a way protest their decision making. they took away bucks frags, he argued that he was already in a good state and unnecessary changes like this don’t need to happen.
Sounds like he got mad his main finally got balanced, Makes me abit sad that people just cant adapt or try new things..
Indeed, the amount of pointless and unnecessary changes is mindblowing atm. Why are operators that clearly arent very powerful getting nerfed. For example, why did Maestro lose acog and nothing significant changed on Echo, though every player agrees that Yokai drones have always been stronger gadgets than Evil eyes. Don't get me started on constant map reworks. Only few have been fine/good, others still stayed mediocre maps.

The reason they removed bucks frags is actually a weird one. They recently changed some explosive mechanics allowing for damage through certain walls. As a result with a shotgun you could create and angle between floorboards and roll the grenade to the other side. Killing someone without an engagement. It was to powerful with buck. So only sledge shotgun and nokk are capable of this trick.

I got queued with a trio of hackers who promoted their website to sell the hacks, I couldnt get any response from anyone at ubisoft to send the website to, I can only assume they know about it.

I just feel like for myself as well as my friends every single change recently that has happened has made the game a less fun to play. They have continuously added operators without new guns, and nerfed our favorites operators instead of buffing the weak ones.

Modern Warfare (2019) has the best gunplay i have ever seen. It just looks and feels amazing and believable. I never would have thought i'd praise a CoD game ever again but MW19 just feels amazing to play, and i want BF6 to feel similar.

I wish it would spiral down tho, played 5 matches today, 3 cheating enemy teams, 1 time cheaters on my team and i get banned for teamkilling them. I really used to love this game, but if Ubisoft doesn't start to make big changes very soon, I cant take it any longer

Mate have you forgotten about operation health and how we got robbed of the Polish map? They added secondary abilities to the GROM operators to make up for that. Personally I'd rather they just made the damn map already.

LOKI Operation Health fixed a few things and added renown packs but it also added more bugs and wasted time.
Matt, since a lot of people have been abusing m&k adapters on console, do you think that ubi should make mouse and keyboard native on console, since it is so hard to detect m&k adapters.

A offensive operater who can deploy a camera through a wall, celling or floor to peer into that room. It would be bullet proof so it would need to be taken out with explosives. I think it could help with more data gathering and with the advantage deffensie has.
Do you think they could ever add back Secure area or hostage. They could have individual ranks for each game mode. So you could be diamond in secure area but gold in bomb. This would make it so those who want a more competitive scene can just play bomb and those who want to play the old game modes while playing for their rank can do those. What are your thoughts?

Play in a 5 stack bro. Try to recruit guys in unranked and casual. 5 stacked ranked is so much more fun and a crazy experience especially when you start doing Go4 tournaments
Operation health would like a word with you
On the majority of sites there is no reason to pick Wamai over Jäger. I think if Wamai's magnets were invisible, it would really help him become more versatile and increase the usage of them outside

i do this on consulate garage ill throw a couple outside and i can get a few kills throwing them correctly
Honestly, given how large of an AOE Wamai’s mag’s are, you just gotta be creative and experiment with placements and how you hide them behind structures. They mostly work best outside of your obj’s as a first line of defense as it’ll slow an attacker’s push if they catch something outside of the room. Especially given how many throwables Ying can run now, it saves your butt being able to supplement the ADS’s in that way
It would be cool if his gadget caught a projectile and then threw it back from the direction it came from
Sunday mailbox: a fuse rework where his cluster charges become throwable, similar to yings flashes. They could do less damage and be mainly used to clear defender utility which could change the 20 second meta.

Lion, Blackbeard, and Ela in their prime made the game fun. GetFlanked called it the “Mad Scientist” era of Siege. And to me Velvet Shell through Chimera were by far the most fun the game ever was. Sunday Mailbox: What do you think of an arcade gamemode where every operator goes back to their most OP state? (E.g. 4 cams valk, silent Maverick, recent Ying buff, Jäger ACOG, etc.)
Sniper 90, ACOG SMG11, ACOG Bandit, No recoil Ela 51 Bullets 4 Grzmot double duration time, Lion Wallhack, Shields with insane hipfire or fast aim, Blackbeard with invicible shield ? Holy shit doesn't sound like very fun eh

A operator who can reniforce hatchs by throwing a kaid like device at the hatch. Could be like rook in the sense that his gadget is only usfull that the start of a round. I think the effect would be more variaty in locations picked.
I actually just got back into siege and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Mind you The last time I played ranked was para bellum and I’m on console but hey I’m having fun and I’m glad to be back

I feel like to deal with some cheaters, ranks should be locked until a certain level, so cheaters who want champion will have to grind to level 100 or something before they can reach it.

Siege needs another operation health! The fact that the game still consist of the same bugs from earlier seasons is bad enough, especially when it comes to sound and server issues. These issues seem more prevalent on console with my experience with the game
They are soooo common on pc, I’ve played both, pc has many more bugs and cheaters 3/4 of the games played (high elo ranked)

I completely agree with your assessment of passives. Passives like Ela's and Zofia's add nothing to the game except unnecessary complexity and I think should be removed, where as passives like Echo's old Dokki countering or Vigil's Lion counter add the good kind of interactivity and complexity that I want in Siege
I wonder why Zofia can pick herself up when downed cause "she's stronger than most" but Oryx can't even though he literally runs through walls

I’m pretty sure Zofia’s withstand is because she’s a mother and her backstory and echos was because he and doki were in a relationship and echo blocked her or something along the lines of that I’d love to see some more features like that giving the backstory and lore of the game more meaning

Hey what do you think of an operator that can throw a device at a hatch that has already been destroyed to covef it back up, it wouldn't make it impossible to get through, just like a castle barricade it can be destroyed by soft breachers or being hit, if you were on your own it would make it easier as you wouldn't have to watch as many angles

I think zofias passive was to further differentiate her from ash, give players a reason to pick her over one of the best guns in the game (at that time even had ACOG ) on top of that a three speed with no hitbox
I think the biggest issue with siege is the new season’s. We haven’t gotten a new map in over a year, instead they keep reworking maps to make them worse (most of the time). Along with that, we’ve only gotten one new gun in over a year. I think each op should have at least 1 new gun.

They should make IQ’s drone have her gadget but make it so she can’t scan bomb or bio hazard container
In many ways. I think cross play will be good. But there needs to be an input indicators to distinguish whether you are on m&k and controller.
honestly matt, I would much rather be back in year 2 with lion, finka, blitz, and jackal being meta - where quick leaning took skill and recoil was actually enjoyable. Big difference between a game being more balanced and it being fun to play
I like the loyalty idea, it could be a passive because a character’s backstory shows an example of them being loyal, like surviving a war interrogation? Even if Cav got a nerf, I reckon it’d still be balanced. Just my opinion.
What do you think of an defender operator that has a ladder. With this ladder he/she can reinforce hatches that’s on the roof from the inside, like reinforcing the hatch in logistics office on clubhouse. I think this would be really good for the game and make a lot of sites viable.

Most competitive/esports run on atleast 120 tick servers. Siege right now is running on 45-60 tick up from 20 at release, they upped it year 2

I think Ubisoft has there priorities in the wrong place, they keep adding new broken stuff without trying their best to perfect the old stuff. However the game is in a relatively balanced state compared to the fun chaotic awesome mess that it was years ago.
that's literally what they've been doing. we haven't gotten a very strong operator let alone a broken one in like a year.
One thing I think needs fixing is training grounds on console. The only way to warm up on console is by playing quick match or unranked and their is no proper way to warm up or practice aim because the training ground is unplayable it has constant lag and doesn’t even feel like seige

Sunday Mailbox: What do you think about an defender who carries around a boom box and can activate it wherever he wants like tachanka, and it will make a ton of noise covering up the noise of your flanking teammates and drowning the surrounding area in the sweet melody of Naive by the kooks.
To me at least, the main issue I had with battlefield 5 is that I quickly lost interest because there was so much content that was limited time. If I didn’t feel like grinding during one week, I didn’t get a gun. At least in call of duty you can unlock guns after their battle pass leaves, and it makes it feel like I can be ok taking a 2-4 week break from the game. Also a lot of my friends stayed on battlefield 1 and 4 and I was by myself on 5.

Question: What do you think of a new shield operator who could have the ability to break through soft walls with shield kind of like orix but he wouldn't have a gun for a few seconds before and after he used his ability and it would be very loud
Question: How would you feel about the idea of the operator select screen being separated into categories (hardbreachers, entry fraggers, intel, etc...)? Do you think it would help with team composition when solo queuing and help teach newer players an operators role or do you think it would only make the teams more predictable and make even more toxic situations of teammates getting angry at your operator pick?

There should be a way for 4 stacks to reject having a 5th player on their team if they choose to, especially for casual. It feels like I do nothing wrong, but then just get a kick notification out of nowhere and Im gone. I play on console mainly so no one uses mics and I don't know why I'm being kicked.
Also it would be nice if the kick notification came with remade options for why you want to kick a person such as cheating, or voice abuse or team killing because when there is no mics to communicate or text chat, I don't know why a person should be kicked if I just joined or I muted everyone.
The only problem is the hitbox, hit registration also, but honestly if they fix those problems it would be perfect
I think a way ubi could add chat to Xbox is by pressing the option and start button at the same time. What are your thoughts?

The biggest issue for me is the Smurf accounts and the hackers and so on. I've been playing siege since operation red crow. Yea the game has been more broken then right now. But the reason I deinstalled the game last week was because I am sick and tired of getting queded up with Smurfs. And generally the toxic community. The reason I wanna play games is to have some fun with friends after a day of work. And in siege. The toxicity and smurfing just kills it for me. So I hope the recent change that Ubisoft said no more second accounts is going to help with 1 of the 2 problems that the game really needs to handle better in my opinion

For Sunday mailbox: what do you think about a jackal rework where instead of tracking footsteps he tracks bullet holes. That way operators who are placing down barbed wire outside the objective at the start of the round aren’t punished for doing their job.
My biggest point for Rainbow is, they need to fix sound bugs and dead bodys should be on the same spot for everyone.
Futuristic operator who “high fives” a teammate, said person would have to consent and then the futuristic operator would have the ability to switch places with the “tagged” teammate obviously it would be balanced to ubisofts preference like can’t activate ability while in the DBNO and things like that

@Matimi0 What do you think of an operator that has a gadget on their wrist that is like an assassins creed blade. When they activate the gadget it will send up a blade. The operator can then sprint with the blade out but releases loud breathing noises. The operator can only run a limited distance before running out of breath and then being able to only walk, crouch, prone, and switch weopons. The operator can take 2-3 seconds killing another person with an animation for balance.
What do you think of an operator that has an invisible pitfall trap, that once attackers stepped over it, it would collapse the floor similar to the destruction from Grand Larceny. The area of affect would only be the size of large square made up of at least 4 hatches worth of space and the gadget can only be placed on destructible flooring.
Game is definitely dying. No one i used to play with still plays it, including me.
