Had she continued the work she was doing in "Evita" or "Ray of Light", we would be talking about one of the greats. That's not the case. As for many of her fans, they seem to love more the "effort", the "she's the best selling artist", her resilience, or her nasty and disrespectful drag queen antics rather than the result of her performance or the music itself. Pop music is an INDUSTRY that makes PRODUCTS, and not always art; it chews and spits people (specially women) and provocation is what sells the records. And although I admire that she's still "on the top", this pretty much proves that, when you get older and comes a time when you're not bankable for being "hot", you better be prepared and have a perfect voice. Otherwise, nostalgia, references to other (and better) artists, visuals and provocation won't save you. Unless you're a member of the cult.

This is so sad. It reminds of the character in Flash Dance, the old dancer who had tawdry outfits. She needs some good advice because she still has talent but singing Judy Collins is not in her vocal range.

I love this song so much. It is one of the most beautiful song ever written in my opinion. But she completely butchered it. She didn't sing it with love like it was meant to be sung. She just sang it like it was some sort of rock/pop song and it was never meant to be sung that way. It breaks my heart to see how badly music has progressed through the recent years. Just my opinion. No hate towards Madonna.
