I have been away from Burma for almost five decades. When I was growing up in the 1960s in ရန်ကုန် my parents would sing this song and we siblings would join in. It was originally sung by အေဝမ်းတင်မောင် and မေရှင်. I have recently heard this song performed by ဗညားဟန် and စိုးစန္ဒာထွန်း. Now, it is a treat to enjoy တစ်လိမ်နှစ်လိမ် by two very talented songsters, ဖြိုးပြည့်စုံ and မေလသံစဉ်. They have done justice to this quintessential Burmese song from the bygone era. The lyrics are wittily targeted at the menfolk of their fidelity.
