Good to see the car inspectors were doing their job in ensuring the two loads were safe to move before being released for pick up.
We haul a lot of wood on our 7.5 railroad, but we are stuck with hauling it in our gondola and hopper cars. Need to build some log flats like these. Great job
They're just regular flat cars that I cut stakes for. Real simple.
@@MillBrookRailroad ok, thanks.
Aaron, I really like this video. Great shots, the railroad looked like it was working a job, nice bird songs, and chickens! Thanks for the derailment at the end, I was worried that it was going to be a perfect video! All though, it couldn’t be because there were no cats!
What a nice little railroad Must be fun around the holidays
It's fun all the time. Especially on holidays.
First thing I do is go full screen. I get enjoyment from watching your working railroad. Thanks
i absolutely love that coupler action man
Good video! I always enjoy watching the chickens wandering around.
That one rail joint out there looks pretty loose, I can see where that's eventually going to cause you trouble. The one rail end drops pretty far when the wheels go over it.
New to the channel, but i like the concept. Instead of a wheelburrow this is superior. :))
Welcome aboard!
@@MillBrookRailroad Thank you! :))
In the not too distant future, chickens take over the earth
I'm assuming you don't clearcut your tree area, you just take care of pruning and taking out what needs to be cleaned up...I see lots of nice green tree growth on your property 😃😆
That's exactly how we maintain our Sugarbush.
Parabéns .Viajei com vocês .
Reminiscent of Escanaba & Lake Superior, but with much better track!! The guy that videos E&LS would be jealous!
I love it
Do the chickens represent your yard workers? If so they are doing a good job, keeping everything slow and safe in the yard!
I think the chickens are represented by the IBFA: The International Brotherhood of Farm Animals.
The cat is their union rep.
I see you the loadmaster was checking your logs on the Railcar
And I noticed in the past couple of videos it must get hot in the locomotive for the engineer to keep the door open
I could tell you some line about it giving the motor controller better ventilation, but the truth is: the cab side was damaged recently, so the front door won't shut.
@@MillBrookRailroad That sounds prototypical.
Nice!!
Seems your chickens always want to "play chicken" and try to beat the train across the tracks... ;-D
Is it weird I day dream of being your neighbor and joining our railroads in alliance and having a scale ac-6000 lol
I wonder if I should have a small railway at the back of my house because I grow carrots in my small garden on the edge of Moscow I no it is just me and my 3 year old daughter but it would help because my garden is a bit long not wide and I don’t like moving them in bags it takes to long and I am sure my daughter won’t mind what do you think good idea or not?
Seems like a good idea to me. Why not?
Ok thanks at least I now no that it is a good idea. And most of the carrots are used to make carrots cake I don’t know why but they are And growing carrots is a good way to use the garden when you don’t no what you use it for. So having a railway is a good idea so thanks
Highball on the way back to shed.
This has to be the quietest Locomotive I've ever heard.
It is quieter when I remember to oil the chain.
You could add an amplified Tsunami loco sound for even more realism.
@@tomki6asp I suppose, but I'm hesitant to add another level of complexity to my locomotives. It's not that I'm incapable of building and maintaining complex electronic systems, but it feels more like my day job.
@@MillBrookRailroad I understand, but I am retired now, and relish the thought of more techie projects.
Where did you get those giant chickens?
From giant chicken eggs. :-)
I would like to see the single seat passenger cars.
Those flat cars are my passenger cars. I have bench seats for them.
@@MillBrookRailroad Where are you located at?
@@davelotz1 Windsor, VT
Does the engine derail if it hits a chicken
Chickens run too fast.
@@MillBrookRailroad sounds like youve tried to chase them down before
@@jacobchandler2083 I've chased them on foot, trying to get them in the coop for the night. They can run faster than me and I can run faster than the train.
Aaron what kind of chain lube do ya use friend?
I haven't applied it yet this year, but I normally use Honda chain lube twice a year. I know. It's overdue.
@@MillBrookRailroad oh it wasn’t about overdo. I’m just interested in what all others use on their chains. I use PJ1 and it seems like good lube. But I’m open to try others. Thanks Aaron! Great video as always friend!
@@rustyc521, I've been reminding myself to lube the chain for two months now.
I use Honda chain lube because I already had it on hand to lube the chains on my antique Honda motorcycles. The bikes are way easier to lube the chains.
@@MillBrookRailroad oh yes! Lubing locomotive chains is a challenge at times unless up on a steaming bay! 🤣
