Legit! First up, I'm twenty. One day I was making pancakes while playing Six through my speaker, just chillin'. My mum, who is 59, comes in and dances around, singing "Sorry not sorry" over and over again. Then my grandparents, 80 and 74 I think, come home and my grandma starts grooving and dancing, and my grandpa was asking who sang the songs, and I told him it was a musical, and he asked when it was coming, and he seemed really into it. My whole family was having a party in the kitchen while I was just trying to make pancakes, just because they loved Six 😂
Also it has VERY strong themes of abuse in All you Wanna Do that people under like 12 probably wouldn’t understand/it wouldn’t be appropriate for them.
"You're entitled to your own opinion.... But it's just wrong!" amazing 😂😂😂 love you Caitie "I'd like to see you sing any songs from Phantom of The Opera" I- just can't, amazing!
Ok. Hear me out. How can they call any of them shows terrible. The turntable in Hamilton is innovative and new. Also you cannot change the set around a lot in shoes normally one standard set the entire time. Wicked is the most breathtaking show I have seen in a while. Six (I haven’t seen) but the music is awesome. And phantom has some of the best costume’s, props, storyline, house management team and backstage people ever. I love that show and that theatre so much. (I’ve performed there a few times if wondering how I know) they just don’t know good theatre when they see it. 😡❤️
The westend cast of Hamilton is amazing and sooo sweet I did a workshop with Tarrin (herc and my mum knows him) and God he's so sweet and the seats in the thearte aren't cramped
"overpriced, overhyped, and over here" is a reference to a common phrase said about American soldiers in WWII calling them "oversexed, overpaid, and over here (ie, on our territory)" basically 'critiquing' Hamilton for being an American show
As someone who works at several theatres, it is WILD the way some people act and the things that say. I had someone storm out 10 minutes into a show demanding their money back because they didn't like it.
During world war two when American soldiers were deployed overseas it was a common complaint in Australia/the UK to say "they're over sexed, overpaid, and over here" (as in they're obnoxious and taking up space in our country), so that person was attempting to make a very witty throwback quip.
Can I ask how you feel about In the Heights? I don't know if you've talked about it before, but I really like it and think it's a very underrated show! (I think it's overshadowed by Hamilton, which I also do love, but still) And/or look at bad reviews of it? I feel like that would be entertaining I love your reactions to the terrible reviews, hey Hope everyone has a decent day/night/whatever!
I love your videos! I think broadway sims is my favorite series and would love it if you did another one! I love Six the musical and.....just....wow. I’m glad there weren’t as many bad reviews on it as the others. My favorite cast is actually the west end cast because it has Millie O’Connell in it. She’s so goofy in real life and I feel like she just has a lot of personality while playing the role of Anne Boleyn. Love your videos and I hope you are doing well! (Sorry I was totally ranting on and on😳) please respond!
All of your videos are so great. Your channel really helped me fall in love with musicals. I hope you're doing well today, Catie. I really can't believe how rude some of these reviews are. It's like they only focus on what they disliked without trying to see what others enjoy.😥
I HATE these reviews!!!! I LOVE all of these musicals SO MUCH!!! I can’t believe the last review about The Phantom of the Opera!!!! That was totally unnecessary. I would have been SO HAPPY that I even got to see The Phantom of the Opera. It’s the longest running show and it deserves that. It is incredible.
Caitie I got into SIX so pleaseeeee do another six in everyday situations and use this Teacher: what do you do when there is a tornado Student: get down
for your laptop stickers, you should look at red bubble they have some cool stuff! also if you look up missalexfish in redbubble you'll find my shop and I have several hamilton stickers that i drew in there :)
You should have a sticker of the Hamilton gang 😂 you can get it on Etsy it is quite big but it will look rlly good xx By gang I mean Lafayette, Hercules Mulligan, Hamilton, John Laurence ❤️❤️
I don’t know why this triggered me so bad, but it did. I mean I feel like the people writing these reviews are stuffy older people who have nothing better to do then this.
I just watched a video of SIX and heard the song and loved it Definitely Going to listen more thanks Catie 👍 Edit: Update a couple hours later I’m now HOOKED
Coming from a person who saw Wicked on the west end, although everyone has a right to their own opinion, sorry, but you’re wrong. that show was PHENOMENAL.
I saw Matilda on west end and it was excellent! My mum got chosen for the breaking the 4th wall part (In the middle from mr wormwood) (it’s early sorry for the spelling lol)
Omg, your reactions are on point....and you’re way nicer than I would be 😂😂 I’m not even a Phantom fan and I was cringing at those reviews! (Full disclosure: I’ve never seen Phantom...my sister put the cast recording on when I younger and it freaked me out and I haven’t been able to get past that childhood trauma to actually watch it 😅)
It's already like the fourth right? video of these and I think we've developed (or are developing) some thick skin to these terrible reviews. Also, LOVE her hairstyle and outfit.
Hey Theatre kids! Could you guys leave me some musical recommendations? I love most of the ‘popular’ shows going around and I would love some new shows too listen to!
My social studies teacher told us all to watch Hamilton if we had Disney plies I’ve seen it 4 times so of course I was exploding off in the chat if our google meet and then he said that Lafayette was his favorite historical figure and I FREAKIN love him not only is he played but the amazing and handsome Daveed Diggs but he also has the most amazing personality in the show so yeah I think I’m gonna have a great social studies year. Also I just watched Les Misérables so this year learning about revolutions is gonna be AWESOME
I'm writing a musical at the time, and I was struggling to name one of the main characters. She's a huge theatre nerd and an internet personality. After careful thinking, I named her "Cait" because I mean, her character is very similar to Caitie!
@Hays Carson Cool! The one I'm writing is called "Hell, Yes!" and it's about a group of teenagers from the underworld who try to fit in on the surface!
my mum watched the first half of it on Disney plus and was like "uh it's overhyped." and i respected the fact that she followed her heart and formed her own opinion. otherwise,,, she LOVED six
I mean, how can this people hate these musicals so much? 😭 I saw wicked in London and it was AMAZING, there was a huuuge standing ovation at the end of Defying Gravity and the actress was the standby for Elphaba (she was the currently lead). Those shows are all amazing, I just can't understand why they go and see them if they can't appreciate them...
And we left at half- ok but that is just pretty rude.1.The actors but there hard work into these shows. 2.You probably spent more than 100 dollars on tickets. 3.You should at least stay to give these actors a round of applause. I love you videos so you for giving me amazing entertainment💗
Wicked only seems like a disneyfied kids show if you've read the book and even then you have to acknowledge the absolute bops which are no good deed, defying gravity, for good, popular, as long as you're mine, and no one mourns the wicked
I listen to the songs before seeing the musicals, and that helped with Hamilton to get an idea of what they where saying. I understand for the people who want to be surprised but if you do hate it when you see it in person there goes your money. So if you are unsure whether you would like to go see a musical or not listen to the sound track.
The review for Hamilton that said "No change of scenery" IS INCORRECT!! At intermission the tehcies or whoever ad on to the scenery symbolizing that america is rebuilding it self after the war, just not many people notice it

"how can you leave at intermission for Wicked?"
Me: How can you leave at intermission for any show?
Exactly!!!
RIGHT???
Plus, you haven’t even seen the whole show!
Sorry but when I was younger I left at intermission for annie but I love the movies I just got bored in the musical I think it was cause I was younger
Reviewer: Anyone over 16 will hate SIX.

I made ,y own sticker with that exact text lol

I decided to go with the "Cold in my professions" letter sticker because Lams
The "that's what she said" sticker is my life.
My friend had that sticker and the first time I saw that I burst out laughing
Oh my god I just understood the sticker, ahahahahahahaha
People: Hamilton is so long what the heck
Me: huehuehue try Les Mis or Into the woods if you want a long show.
I agree with the opening son for into the woods
Hamilton and Les Mis are the exact same length... and both are five minutes longer than into the woods...
"You're entitled to your own opinion.... But it's just wrong!" amazing 😂😂😂 love you Caitie

I think that's a reference to the fact Hamilton is an American story being performed in London (at approx 2:17)
