In this saltwater fly casting tutorial, you will learn a specific fly casting technique that will allow you to reach distances of over 75ft with 2-3 false casts. Making a minimum amount of false casts is critical when fly fishing the saltwater flats for bonefish, redfish, permit, tarpon, and more. You need to hold the fly in your hand while searching for fish and be able to get the fly on target within seconds. This method is one that will allow you to make presentations to fish you can see before they see you.

looks good, but if you change your reel to a right hand cast you would then have a nice set-up Most high quality
reels always come the correct way round,but seem to get changed. I can assure you once you get used to the classic
right hand cast and right hand reel you would not want to change back again.

12dougreed All fly reels I have ever bought come set up to retrieve with the left hand. I always change them to right hand retrieve because I target fast swimming saltwater fish and I am right handed. Turning a fly reel handel is a fine motor skill and most people, including me, can turn it faster using the dominant hand.
