I know you haven’t come out with a video for it yet, but congratulations on getting #1 in the world!!! I just saw it on the leaderboard!💪 you’re a beast! Can’t wait for the video on it!!
In the last game I don't really understand why you didn't secure 11 6 5 and road, you had won the knights race already, you had 2 opportunities to port for settle, yet you kept popping, other thing is, if you were starving for wheat the whole game why not go to the 4 that was free the whole time? Your luck was he was not a top player!
@@delishadish Yeah, I love his style of playing, I learned a lot with him and I also enjoyed very much seeing he's style changing and growing throughout this last weeks, but seeing that holding gives me much anxiety ahaha it's like "you know that putting the settle sooner will give you more resources during this turns, right?" I guess it's a good thing in the terms of how much emotion he can pass to us with his games!
@@perzeon I think he plays a very elite OWS style. But he is below average when it’s a road building game. Like constantly porting 3:1 for devs when even one of those times the settle would eventually yield the extra production. And even building a settle that would essentially lock a win condition. I think in one of the games he could have built three roads to connect but his opponent blocked him off and he just ended up using it as port fuel-which can certainly work but it’d not super efficient against higher ELO players.
Your hesitation to take your open settles is driving me crazy, you already won the knight race in game 3, you shouldve settled in 5 6 11 and not invite black to your 5 ore
The game-play is exceptional, but the commentary is insufferable. The contradictions are delivered at such a high frequency, to a point that my brain starts to hurt. "This is fine, obviously it's not fine." etc. I watched a large part of this video with the sound muted, and it wasn't that bad. Without sound I could at least make my own assessment of the position, in peace, without being constantly misdirected by contradictory statements.
Omg bro relax he’s doing solo commentary in a 1v1 game.. he’s simply speaking his internal thoughts, that’s what anyone would do. You’re doing great Phantom keep up the good work!
@@ThePhantomCatan actually I am not talking about this specific video only. ALL of your videos are commented like this: "this is unfortunate, actually it's fine" etc. It's like two persons are commenting at the same time, with divergent opinions about the position, and the microphone switches constantly from the one person to the other. Some people might find it entertaining, and honestly I also get entertained when the dose of insanity is controlled, but it's the overdose that gets me and incentivizes me to switch off the sound. Obviously I still get value from your videos, otherwise I wouldn't watch them. Your performance in 1v1 Catan is outstanding!
Back to back tourneys? This is great phantom!
Awesome video! Glad you could play & are killing it 🔥🔥🔥
Glad to see you playing! We shall meet soon!
"I stick with you always forever, you don't port, it doesn't matter, should take road, popping is better" 😂❤
44:35 You don't have to build a road, since they've already built all 15.
I've watched all of Phantom's 1v1 videos and that's his weakness. Has miscounted or didn't count his opponent's roads at least 5 times that I recall.

Phantom loves a hanging road lol. He got lucky in game 2 but game 3 I saw the plow coming from a mile away.

24:30 Oof, I was waiting for that plow to the double wheat.
I don't think I've ever been so frustrated with a number not rolling. Happy that you pulled it out.
Thats me! ❤
You played great brother
@@ThePhantomCatan u2 man
Missed a few good trade opportunities IMO
Why don't you click directly on the place you want to build a road/settle/city instead of clicking on the buttons on the bottom?
it used to be that you had to do it that way, so maybe he's used to it. just a guess
Oh wait is this a different tourney than yesterday's? Haven't watched yet, just heard you say you got a round one buy at the start. Good luck man!
Diff tournament!
Game 3 when he played the RB he capped his roads
So unfortunate you had to reset game 1… you would have crushed with that setup and how your opponent placed
At 29:26 you had the win already you just needed to build one road
Your hesitation to take your open settles is driving me crazy, you already won the knight race in game 3, you shouldve settled in 5 6 11 and not invite black to your 5 ore
game 1 after you reset I would have played 5 8 10 & 3 6 11 it would ha forced him into a sticky situation
In my opinion you think to much. Sometimes theres a balance on gut and thinking.
The other player is not good at all. He could’ve won easily.

Phantom, your commentary is brilliant and hilarious. This guy can bugger off

Be more kind to ur self. I get very stressed about u talking down to ur self ALL the time
