"the wiffenpoof song" always gives me goosebumps for some reason when i hear it, and then i sing along.
i used to watch the perry como show with my folks.
The cameo at the at the end was Canadian singer and actor Jack Duffy. He also sang with Tommy Dorsey and in later years with The Spitfire Band.
Love the cameo at the end!
Perry the very best, so cool and what a wonderful smooth voice.
And if you should survive to 105,
Think of all you'll derive out of being alive!

Rudy Valee was a talent of the 1920s, I don't think I realized he was living into the 1960s, and apparently still performing then.... He died July 3, 1986 at age 84. So here (1961)he is actually about age 60.
I like his voice when older than when he was younger.
I love Rudy in the movie The Palm Beach Story with the great Claudette Colbert and Joel Mccrea. His performance was so good that made me prefer him over Joel.❤

These musical arrangements don't suit Rudy Vallee's songs at all. It's like Ray Charles singing punk.
