Stopped for tinted tails surprisingly enough.
He came out of the park on my left with no radar running, he pulled up at the exact time I was passing. I hit the brakes as soon as I had a visual on him, but he was already shooting me. However, he was more concerned with the modifications to my car.
This was Officer Nash's 3rd week on patrol. He was a very polite and professional LEO.
This cop is one of the good cops. He wasn't a douche and told the driver exactly what was wrong. He may have been new, but he sure knew how to handle the situation. If I ever get pulled over and the cop is like this, I wouldn't even get mad. He's just doing his job. But if I were to get pulled over for some BS that isn't my fault, i'd probably get mad.
They gave me a "Fix" ticket, still had to pay $50 at the court, buy new taillights, and remove my window tint. Did it all over again as soon as I got it cleared. lol

got pulled over for doing 73 in a 65 zone about half a mile from the 80mph toll road! first time getting pulled over and he tickets me, he was so rude and didnt hesitate when i asked if i could just get a warning. i need a radar detector.
So why would anyone care how far you were from a place to legally drive at that speed? Does this logic work with "Yeah, I was nailed doing 73 in a school zone, but the onramp to the freeway was only a 1/2 mile away"?
8 over is 4 points and a $175.50 citation here in Wisconsin, Doubled in Work Zones. I'm pretty sure any cop will at least pull you to slow you down and give you a written warning going 8 over, but a citation is more then acceptable. Quit whining

May I ask what type of camera are you using? Its very clear plus it tells you the date, time and speed.
That's cool that he didn't ticket you or anything. There are some really cool cops out there. I'm friends with a couple of them that I went to school with. I got both of their PBA cards which is cool. One friend is a patrol officer & the other is a Detective. Both are really good friends of mine. We either go racing at the track or shooting at the range on the weekends together. Good times
I was recently pulled over by an Oklahoma state trooper for my tail lights being tinted & custom exhaust. I had no idea it was illegal. Almost every vehicle around here has custom exhaust.

I was aware of speeding. That is exactly why I pointed it out and posted this video. The entire point of this video is to show how many infractions I was in violation of, but the officer was awesome enough to let me go. I don't understand how people think I am posting this like I think I was doing nothing wrong.

Should have been ticketed for unsafe driving. on all boxes that have those black out taillights it states its for off-road use only, not DOT compliant. I had some ass-hat with those tail light try and move over on me I was right next to him at night and could barely even see the turn signal. It's simple, it may make the car look the way you want but others around you have no clue what your doing, turn signals tail lights and brake lights are not visible from a distance. Sorry but its true deal with it and take them off for others safety.
actually in most states, it dosnt matter if you have tint over your tail lights, here in georgia as long as you are able to see them from 200 feet away in the afternoon they are legal. and if you cant see them then, then you should not be driving tbh.

Gun has to be on and pointed at you or reflecting into you for detector. It is a radar detector, not a police car detector.

Portable/mountable gun. it has a base on dash for mounting and can be easily grabbed and pointed.
My RD is up in factory strip, noway he saw. But yea he saw everything else was blatant. I am not trying to hide anything, just taking my chances.

Why the fuck do people tint their tail lights, I almost rear ended someone with blacked out tinted tail lights.
If it's done right, plenty of light still shines through. I run Lamin-X on my 750s tails and they're still brighter than the old halogen garbage.

well duh,,you keep giving them excuses to pull over a flashy car and they will. in the county that i live in now, i have around 20 non moving violations because of the car i use to drive. it was also a black lowered car with rims and dark tint. now i have a ls which is lowered but my tint is pretty much legal, at least legal enough that i dont get harrassed. i havent actually been pulled over in it so far. (as i knock on some wood) to be honest, i really dont think your tail lights look that great, other than that the car looks dope. but thats just my opinion.

They really don't mind the tinted tails in OKC much. I have mine tinted black, and never have been pulled over. I have been pulled over for other reasons though. DWH (Driving while Hispanic) seems as though I get followed by these cocksuckers when they see me ride up. Black 20's, 5% tint, tinted tails, probably think i am dealing.

oyaa makes me trust more in my cobra radar detector that I got about 10 years ago. This video shows another brand to drop from my list. I should just stick with my-selected-brand because I been across the USA a few good times with my trusty device
Tyee Cambrón No RD can detect instant-on, hence the name. I'd still rather have a RD than nothing at all
I've saved about $1200 by having a detector. They don't catch every radar device and you can get clocked too, but I've never gotten a speeding ticket when I was using one. I got two when I wasn't. And those two cost me almost double what my detector did.

A radar detector is meant to help you avoid the police, so why negate that with a blatantly obvious and illegal mod on your vehicle after spending so much?

Ray B is correct. It is just a tint film that is covering the taillights. All that would come from it is a "fix it" ticket - and thus I remove it and show the courthouse and avoid any fees.
***** Not in nY, fixit ticket you still have to pay court fees. $50+$35surcharge =$85 worth.

This is literally the dumbest mod in the history of modding right behind stancing. It’s a sure way to be at fault in an rear end collision every time no matter how innocent you are. As Soon as that cop sees you tinted your taillights, you’re at fault. I just don’t understand this mod. Isn’t the point of brake lights so that other cars see you stopping. Yeah they look really cool but you know what looks even cooler? A bumper that isn’t smashed in because the car behind you saw you braking.
