opium literally is a fucking powerhouse its amazing to see especially since ive been a carti fan since die lit dropped so seeing this much success come from WLR and this sound and his artists is fucking amazing progression cant wait to see whats next especially for lone
Back in 2019 i heard the molly snippet and the new neon leak, and I fell in love with his music and told myself that this guy has something revolutionary in him
He def did, that leak era of carti especially with Houdini,New Neon,Boulder crest,Molly,Dropped out. Was all like so different sucha euphoric feel. But then WLR dropped it was more “Punk” hard rappin instead of that. I feel like the Punk aesthetic from Die Lit to Wlr was a whole evolution. Idk he shift from that chill molly sound to straight mosh shit. he noticed that with R.I.P .
I like how Carti doesn't really promote Opium artists with features and social media posts so no one can say that they're popular just because of Carti It's kinda an opposite to Young Thug's Young Stoner Life Records, he gives features to all of his artists and he even made 2 albums with them. It's also a good strategy but I feel like they're not really getting big, there are some underrated artists like T-Shyne and Strick in YSL. Opium artists are going viral with very little help from Carti. Ken & Lone are already bigger than any YSL artist (excluding Thug and Gunna)
Here I can point an argument because most of YSL artists are popular not talking about thug and gunna but like lil gotit lil keed and other who are in YSL are famous too
@@youngscott1074 They're definitely popular but just not that big. Thug and Gunna are both huge and have over 20 mln monthly listeners on Spotify, Lil Keed (R.I.P.) has 1.5 mln but other YSL artists have less than 0.5 mln, some even less than 100k. Lil Gotit isn't signed to YSL
@@frandavis1990 Yeah he was Keed's brother and probably is close with some other members. Lil Baby is YSL too but he's not signed because at that time Thugger had some problems with the label and told him to sign to QC instead. They both are members of the YSL family but not YSL Records
I was tryna to sign trippie red Before they knew about trippie , I was messin with lil keed when he made lil blicky, I thought I had Pierre but the label tricked me , they tried to turn me into a white boy but I’m not lil dicky
I feel like opium is music made specifically to appeal to people like me. Same thing with yeat, idk how but I’m the exact archetype of a person that would listen to them
I feel like opium keeping all of their projects consistent and within the label is very similar to drain gang, would love to see these two work together!
I already loved playboi Carti and he’s literally making my favorite artists right now, Ken Carson lonely homixide gang and more bruh playboi Carti is god
Its crazy because see how all other artists’ labels that been in the game always get a lot of pushing, posting and features from big artists. Yet carti with almost no promo let them create their organic fan bases while still being under his wing. we gon see how the label is doing in a few years but for now its great ngl
Imo opium’s biggest strength is how much their fans milk everything related to them. Everything from fanmade carti songs to ken’s appearance has been used by the community as some kind of trend
I’m pretty sure that the deluxe version of Homixide’s “Snotty World” album was an Opium release. It’s tagged with “Opium” on the bottom left hand side of the cover art.
You’re right, Carti didn’t announce that they were signed until his XXL interview which was after. But technically speaking yes and I should have covered it
They’ll change it, pretty simple, especially for them. Carti changed his aesthetic like 3 or 4 times already within his career. Plus they’re young I can see Lone, Ken, Homixide, and whoever else evolving this aesthetic
@@amazingjay3957 shit carti has changed his aesthetic more than once after he started the label idk what that guy was talking about 😭 lone has had the same aesthetic since 2019 really don’t need to change. Ken changed his aesthetic in 2019/2020
Crazy being young during the og sound cloud era. It “died out” but now its back and strong! We all thought Uzi was gonna be the leader of the generation, but it ended up being Sir Cartier 🧛🏿
I wash my hair twice back to back every other day with Maui Moisture Hair care for fine to medium curls, then use Maui Moisture Hair Care conditioner for fine to medium curls. I wash conditioner out with cold water. I wait until my hair is slightly dry but still damp and use Kendra Smoothing Blowout Lotion & Garner Fructis Curl Air Dry Cream then I let it naturally dry. I know it’s a lot but it’s a lot of hair to take care of 😭
Ya the “opium ascetic” is just recycled grunge, punk and death metal clothing. Nothing special but we love to see it still carrying its way through the future.
Noti gang , Im gonna drop a vid like this as well 🔥
Hyped for it bro 🔥
