    Orange Chiffon Cake
    Ingredients:
    225 grams Plain Flour
    200 grams Fine Sugar
    6 Large Eggs Yolks
    1 teaspoon Baking Powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    180 ml. Orange Juice
    120 ml. Oil
    1 teaspoon Orange Essence or 2 tablespoon Orange Zest
    6 Large Eggs Whites
    100 grams Fine Sugar
    Pan Size: 23cm
    Bake in 170°C

    Dear Michael, long story in short is you are a hero in my house. I had been trying your recipes... all are HIT... baking is my passion...
    At least once a week I bake something... when I asked my family that ‘What should I bake this week’ they said coffee cake.
    I made your coffee sponge cake, coffee cotton cake but this time I wanted to make something new.
    So this time I made ‘ coffee cotton chiffon cake’ ... my whole family got excited.
    All credit goes to you...
    I have followed your recipe only I have added 13/14grams instant coffee.

    Sa lahat ng nasubukan ko ito ang lumabas na pinaka perfect i used to follow the procedure step by step pero failures ang iba pero ito sobrang happy ko dahil ang ganda ng txture ang lambot tamang tama lng xa...i super recommend this sa mga katulad ko na nagsisimula pa lang...     Dear Michael, I am not the best cook out there. Actually I'm an awful cook. However, your chanel is the place i turn to whenever i want to make desserts, u know why? Two words. Perfect precision. Extremely accurate. I tried your donuts recipe. Perfect. I tried a vanilla cake. Same texture, perfect taste. I tried this cake last night. I fell in love.     Today I made this cake ,but so sad when I was turn the cake pan ,the cake is come out ,and when I check it ,don’t need greased the pan with the butter ,but I did 😁,but I’m satisfied cos the cake is very soft like cotton 👍👍👍u are the best chef to make chiffon 👍👍👍👍❤️thank you very much brother 🙏❤️stay healthy 🙏

    I made the pandan chiffon cake and it turned out fantastic. It reminds me of my childhood and I've received many compliments on it all thanks to you. Now I've got this in the oven and can't wait for it do be done. Looks amazing already though.

    recipe is perfect..and simple easy to follow and precise and. ..im glad to see that you use plain flour..coz u cant find cake flour here in aus..thanks heaps👍👏i’ll be trying all your recipes❤️

      I always use plain flour (all-purpose flour) as it yields perfect results. Cake flour is quite expensive and, in my opinion, it’s created by manufacturers primarily for marketing purposes, allowing them to charge more.

      @@michaellim thanks for your response! yup totally agree with that, you can make a beautiful textured cake for less and also did a little research on why they don't sell cake flour here because of some health issues on the process or additives. btw looking at your recipe on the diff variations of chiffon cake, i notice that baking soda is used instead of baking powder..why so? just wondering..thanks again..

      @babadoinks2314 The correction to the chiffon cake video that I posted years ago is as follows: it should list baking powder as an ingredient instead of baking soda. It was a typing error in the video.

    hi Michael this is so good and fluffy orange chiffon cake. I made this twice now and always perfect. Last time I bake it I used cake flour it's so tall and fluffy too. Thanks for sharing my to go recipe from now on.

      +Michael Lim I have a question though.. the two times i tired the taste was perfect but whenever I took the cake out of the oven it got shrunken into half of the actual volume.. why?

      Hi nafeesa, whenever you bake a chiffon cake or a moist, soft and fluffy cake like this one, it will shrink. That is why you need a specific tube pan to bake this kind of cakes. And always turn it upside down to cool it immediately once it is out of the oven. When it is cool you can turn it back up and your cake will not deflate or shrink anymore.

    Love your Chiffon recipes but one question...on the video it say Baking Soda but in the description it says Baking Powder....which is correct? Thankx

    Hi Michael! Love ur recipes for chiffon cake. Did the Pandan one and it was great. i did a few changes which was adding cream of tartar to the egg white mixture for more stability. i used pandan paste and pandan essence for a strong pandan flavour. Overall a great and easy recipe to remember and follow. Gonna try out the Orange Chiffon recipe soon. but with a twist as i will be replace the orange with yuzu citron juice instead. Hope all is well. Do post more recipes! Thanks!

    Hi quick question, if i use a 15cm pan, do i need to adjust the temperature or the baking time? I tried tonight with the exact instructions but the centre seems tobe still wet and i bake it more. It turns out the chiffon is a bit too dry. How should i do it right? With my 15cm pan?

    hi Michael, i really have a problem of my cake, i do whats on the instructions, and i did so many different types of cake, but they always sink as in not like yours that they stand so nice,, what did i wrong on my baking, why do they sink,, thank you for your answer.

      lanibabe1985 maybe the oven is too hot and you need to invert it upside down for 2 hours right after its done baking

    Hi Michael, I find that the way you fold egg yolk, flour etc to the egg white in this chiffon cake is different with the sponge cake. As the sponge cake you fold in other ingredients one by one, and this chiffon you mixed up all ingredients but eggwhites and then you fold in at the end. Would the cake turn out different if I use the "chiffon method" to make sponge cake? will it make any difference? Thank you.

      Always turn the chiffon cake pan upside down to cool off, just as I shown in the video.
