I love in typical Community meta style, they kind of made fun of this in, s5, I think it was. Jeff saying so deadpan to her once "I thought you were smarter than me when we first met". It can be argued she changed via what was not really all that much a natural progression. but she was still damn funny.
I feel like they all changed, as did the tone of the show. At first it was about regular school scenarios, but later it got sillier and more extreme with the genres and larger-than-life storylines, and so the characters had to get sillier and more extreme as well. Britta being the moral center while everyone else is a fruitcake or narcissist wouldn't have fit in as well. The point was always that all of these characters were flawed and they had her being the voice of reason so heavily in the beginning that something had to give.

First name Last name cause Dan knew when to stop Community. Season 6 had awesome moments but without the key cast it wouldn’t have lasted much longer. TBBT just uses the same jokes it’s used for the past 11 years in different settings. It jumped the shark in about the third season, then is just a stupid joke factory.

I love this show so much. It's such a comfort show for me. I love that so many people have different favorites and there isn't a person on this cast that doesn't absolutely kill it at that role. Of course there were story lines that got a little much at times but that was writing not acting. I love how much Britta changed and her own personality came out more and she became so much more likeable. Troy and Abed are one of the best comedy duos I've ever seen. Joel plays the perfect straight man but has the comedy chops to be unpredictable. Shirley brings that "every person" touch while having really good comedic timing. Chang as a fucking Spanish teacher was incredible. Annie is so funny to me and Alison Brie is a great actress. I hate hearing when people say someone is funny for a woman... Alison Brie can run comic circles around just about anyone. The Dead was absurd. Chevy was perfect as Pierce and Magnum.. well... POP POP. I'd have to say my Top 3 are Annie, Troy and Britta all for very different reasons. Season 1 I actually didn't like Britta cuz I felt like her story line with Jeff didn't really match the absurdity of the rest of the show but going back and watching again it really works.
