Though I agree that having Arnold Schwarzenegger play one of the brothers would have been great, I think it would have been even better if the other brother was played by Danny DeVito

It’s not strange Double Dragon based on the original Double Dragon is set in a post apocalypse Los Angeles world known as New Angeles although in the arcade game it’s set in a post apocalyptic New York City similar to Escape From New York not Los Angeles. So they can’t even get 1 simple aspect of being set in a Post Apocalyptic New York City because this very poorly made and very unfaithful Double Dragon movie wasn’t made with any desire to respect the source material while (2023) Super Mario Brothers was entirely a very faithful adaptation made by Nintendo.

On the NES manual, the female was called Lash. The girl they were rescuing was Marion. Koga Shuko I believe came out of the animated series.
I remember Lash from the game, but there was an animated series??!

The movie is definitely more based on the animated series. On the show they are karate guys and they also have the red and blue suits
