Hi nick you being here brings me here thank you another elvis sunday done with great adoration to the one an only king great job as always bravo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👑👑👑👑
always kind words for Elvis. I would have spent a fortune at that time, I would have booked the table under the stage for all the shows, afternoon and evening for the duration of his concerts. Beautiful and full of talent. Amazing. 🎶🎸👑⚡️⚡️❤️🔥

Thany you Nick this is absolutely brilliant he is so cool but there are a few more songs he sings on this section. ❤❤❤❤❤ ELVIS no-one will ever match him so amazing he makes me smile and cry 😢
Another great review, as usual. Slightly off topic, but notice Elvis at his peak here, healthy and happy. If you look at the clip of Elvis that you showed in Thursday's tribute, singing "American trilogy" you can see the changes in Elvis in only a year and a half. What's most interesting about today's clip is at 5:12 of the video, at the beginning of the performance. Elvis shakes his head, looks disgusted and waves off someone in his band. He was so attuned to everyone in his band that if someone was off even a bit he picked up on it. I think he didn't like the guitar riff. Watch that moment again.
Yet another terrific reaction; always a fun watch. The original outtake includes a couple of other songs too. Have always loved this medley; I'm not sure who enjoyed it more - Elvis himself or his fans. Elvis was joyful on stage; I think his fans knew that he was enjoying himself as much as they enjoyed watching him and that always made his performances special. Thanks much.
Great video ! really enjoyed it ! 😃 In the live version Elvis also did Little Sister/Get Back & Get Back from the rehearsal was blend in this live version on stage, great to see ,love it !! 👍
Like you I love anything from That's the Way It Is. I recently saw this whole sit down segment on RUclips (about 5 songs) and it's great. Two more songs to add to your long list (my favourites this week!) are I'll Be There and If I'm a Fool (for loving you). I never tire of Elvis ❤
Another week, another fantastic Elvis Sunday ❤ Thank you, Nick 😊 Elvis rocks that stage, chilling on a stool as only he could! This is Fantastic, a livley uplifting performance that we all needed.. we mourned and marked his day of passing, as we rightly should.❤ Now we need to get back to celebrating his life and his contribution to music. Xx
That man was looking good here.. I was 3 yrs old at the time.. but I can appreciated his gorgeousness at 57.. lol Mom raised me right.. on Elvis.. Glad mom got to see him live in 1974... Dad wasn't a fan until he saw Elvis put everything into his performance.. look at the man in this video. he's put Everything into his performance..
Morning from NY. Thanks for this one. When I saw the title I thought it was when he did all the 4 songs all on stage that I sent "The Sit down outtake (New Edit)" by Robbo ruclips.net/video/9lm5m0H0LQk/видео.html. The quality isn't as good but it's a great 4 song session. Yes, it was when he had gone into the audience again & they were grabbing at him, even lifted him up into the air that he says "honey I wouldn't come down there again for love nor money." Thank you for Elvis on Friday.
I love all songs Elvis, but in particular, the impromptu ones. Where he's relaxed and just not "performing" but becoming part of the music itself. There is probably so much footage they didn't use for the documentaries "That's the Way it Is" and "Elvis on Tour." I wish they'd compile everything and release it. Imagine the footage we haven't seen!
You take care and God bless Love these I look forward to him I got home in time from surgery to watch your video that you did Friday the 16th anniversary of his this and I love the video that you did
Great reaction, thoroughly enjoyed it. Baz Luhrmann apparently by his own admission has access to these performances, and hopefully a quality video will emerge.
It might have been after doing Suspicious Minds or Polk Salad Annie. He used so much energy in those two performances. I don’t think it was only one show but even sitting down his legs, his head his hands playing guitar, that was truly the music in side him coming out. He felt it in his soul and we were drawn into his soul. No one ever will have that magic he had. God Bless his soul.
@@MigdaliaTomalinas-os2nz It may be, but there is a version of Blue Suede Shoes where the chains & tabs are ripped from the Chain suit at that point, & his hair looks more wet & messed up. Unless all pieces of each performance, on each day & each night are pieced together, or if someone has a version that shows what came before & what followed, we won't know or certain. Thanks.
It's a great shame he didn't carry on doing similar segments whilst playing the guitar in future years. I've always found the guitar he has for the opening CC Rider song is a prop, a cop out and unnecessary whilst this whete he relaxed and played the guitar was terrific. 68 comeback special vibes
Happy Monday Nick! Due to family emergency, I completely missed Sunday with you as well as your tribute the day before, but it’s 5:15 am here in the States and I’m playing catch with you as my first order of the day. To Little Sister/Get Back, I say first that whoever regarded them as companion songs had experienced a stroke of genius. I shall no longer hear one without expecting the other. To this, I list the things that I also loved about this particular part of the performance: Elvis, depleted for so many reasons asks for a his little stool and they bring one that is identical to the stool in my Uncle Harry’s garage. He asks for Charlie’s help never bothering to use the “r” in Charlie’s name, so that sounds like Chalie. He pushes about his wet hair before accepting that it doesn’t matter anymore. A fan invites him back into the crowd and with his jumpsuit barely intact, if you listen close enough, you hear the terror in his voice as he declines. Again, he speaks to Charlie regarding the source of the power but the real source of the power has planted himself on his little stool. A burst of energy runs through the guitar and explodes from Elvis causing a rift as though the guitar was playing itself. Some would say that’s when the entertainment begins. I Can't “hep” it (as Elvis would say)…I adore this man!❤️. Thank you Nick Darling! I’m off to find your tribute!
From 1970 to 1973 Elvis did perform a medley of his 1961 classic hit Little Sister and The Beatles' classic Get Back. This footage offers this medley in an edit combining rehearsal footage and Elvis on stage, on August 12 during his Midnight Show in the International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Just want to add that 4-session sit down is rarely if ever played; in all my yrs. & my searches I've only seen it a couple of x's, which is a loss for everyone. If many reactors have done it I certainly haven't come across it. I asked Robbo about working on the quality & he said he would get to it -- that will be spectacular if he enhances it. Thx again.
Happy Sunday from Costa Rica! Love your Elvis Sundays. There’s a fantastic song he does called “Do You Know I Am”. He voice…omg…amazing. Unfortunately, there’s no live version of it.
@@marion_R I can’t believe I heard that for the first time from a reactor here. About a year ago. And I’ve been obsessed with Elvis since the day he died. It’s one of my top 10 for sure. I think Nick would really like it.
Yes, he was.I saw him in person in 1977 in the Wichita concert. He was not in the best physical form as we all know due to significant however the voice transcended to the clouds❤
At the opening of this clip, I am pretty sure he's saying He wouldn't go back out to the crowd for love or money, earlier in the show he had jumped off stage and meandered through the crowd giving kisses and it was a struggle to get back up on stage so he is saying he's not doing that again... at least that's how I took it. I ALWAYS LOVE ELVIS :) thanks for the reaction video.
That’s true! I think there was someone in there that was a bit overzealous and didn’t really want to let go, so he wasn’t overly keen to go back in again! 😂
