Hey Nick, I bought an electric drum kit and I was wondering how I would go about recording it like you do. Do I need a special program like midi drums or something to record/edit them or do I just plug them in and I can do the recording and editing that way? I’m kinda new to the whole recording music thing so I’m still figuring things out.
So if you want to record like I do in these videos, you'll need a USB or midi to USB cable to connect to your computer, then a drum library loaded up in your DAW, and then you'll need to map your kit to the drum library (so your drums are actually matched up with the correct samples for example, when you hit your snare, the library triggers the snare). There are tons of tutorials for that on RUclips University so I'm sure you'll have no problem! Good luck man and happy recording! 🤘
