I agree with both points, and I have a dog and cat.
I've thought this since the first season but Emma is really high maintenance, she acts like she needs constant affection and a heroic boyfriend just to love them. Like, an internship doesn't last long and asides from having a long distance relationship, she has no other issues in life. Literally her family has people who work for them but she acts like things are hard. -_- Losing her as a girlfriend is no real loss.
