This one's been on my playlist for a long time! I remember when this was released it received a lot of airplay on Urban radio stations. We sure didn't care they weren't black because this is a jam!

This is was a staple in the New York City clubs in the 80’s. If you think about it, you will realize you’ve heard this song sampled.

Nice request! Hadn't heard this in long time. Back in the 80's it got a lot of airplay and was played in the clubs. And definitely got everybody dancing. And Harri, you were right, White Horse is referring to heroin or cocaine. Enjoyed your reaction. Thanks!
This was a huge song in the Columbus alternative dance clubs. I had the 12", put it on a few mix tapes for friends. Great song, so glad you like it!

Some kind of electronic music like for Laid Back, I thought it would be in the style of pop reggae, but I liked it.
From the electronic music of the 80's, "White Horse" was the B side of "Sunshine Raggae" and spent 3 weeks at Number 1 on the American Dance Charts. Rumored to be a song about Heroin/Cocaine in the references. There is a line in the song, If You Want to Be Rich, You Got to Be a Bitch which was to racey for the early 80's for the B word, it disappeared from the radio mix. My how times have changed.

You got that wrong.Prince never ever dabbled in cocaine or any social drugs.He was hooked on pain killers later in life as a result of the pain from his hip replacement. Trust me,i am a Prince encyclopedia
