Killer as always! So authentic, the closest it gets to a live jam session. Jeff - we got Tweezer, Sand, DWD, some big boys left! I stay patient b/c I know when you finally make them they are gonna be great, thanks again!
Great timing jeff....just last night I had a religious experience watching a Caspian from 97 on yt....reminded me how much escape these dudes have provided us with over the years
Em pentatonic is a good one for this, it's got all of the Cmaj7 notes except the root and the Gmaj pentatonic notes as well. Noodle around and recontextualize minor pent licks you know, resolve up to c by hitting that minor 6th. Great way to get started with modal substitution
Such a fun song. Thanks for the backing tracks Jeff. It’s made not playing out live through the pandemic a little more bearable lol. It’s always fun to see what you’re going to put out next. I’m always down for the adventure
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar Nice! You n' your band really seem to hit the 2-chord Mixolydian build ups every time - take a break with Slave to the Traffic Light or something!
Jeff I appreciate you so much for these backing tracks they're amazing! Try listening to 2015 Magnaball Caspian before jamming this for inspiration you won't regret it
@@JeffWilliamsGuitar well, tbf, Gmixo is certainly how trey plays it once he starts soloing, wavering between Gpent, Ghex (throwing a C in every now and then), and Gmixo (playing an F in lieu of F#). tension and release. floating on the waves.

Hey thanks Sal! Yeah, I can't wait to get to all those tunes. It's so hard to pick what to do next.

Nice, I was referencing Amsterdam 97 for this track.

Glad they're helpful Steven. Especially during these tough times. Next Phish one was a challenge to make and is definitely an adventure.
Another "sleeper" jam emerges - but I've always liked this one and am digging your crescendo! Divided Sky When? ha
Hey thanks Daniel! Oh man, Divided Sky's gonna be a challenge. Just finished another challenging one though.

Hey thanks Liam! I'll check that version out.
Sublime
Thanks, these are really cool! Do you play all the instruments?
I'm wondering the same thing, these are all fucking amazing.
Just the bass and if there is guitar on non Phish tracks.
its actually G Dorian. That is how Trey would play it. Jerry would play G mixo.
Anyone liking G Mixo on this or is it just me? I guess if it’s a G>C progression, you could “flip” it and say it’s a 1-5 in C instead of a 1-4 in G.
Yeah, that works too. Whatever sounds good. That's one of the big reasons I like making tracks, so people can just try out ideas.
