"Cinque... dieci... venti..." is a delightful trio from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), which premiered in 1786. The piece is sung by three characters: Susanna, Figaro, and the Count. It appears in the first act of the opera and showcases Mozart's genius in blending humor with intricate musical composition.
In the context of the opera, this trio occurs during a comedic scene where Figaro is measuring space in the room to place a bed for him and Susanna, his bride-to-be. The three characters engage in a playful banter, counting in Italian ("five, ten, twenty..."), which adds a rhythmic and whimsical element to the music.
The music is lively and cheerful, characterized by its rapid pace and the seamless interplay between the three vocal lines. Mozart's clever use of counterpoint and harmony highlights the characters' personalities and their interactions. The melody is catchy and vibrant, making it a memorable and enjoyable part of the opera.
The piano transcription of "Cinque... dieci... venti..." by Lorenzo Da Ponte is an adaptation of this lively trio from Mozart's opera Le nozze di Figaro. Da Ponte, who was Mozart's librettist for the opera, took the essence of this charming vocal piece and transformed it into a piece suitable for solo piano performance.

Amazing! Thank you. If you were ever running out of ideas, the overture and the finale to The Abduction at the Seraglio would be awesome.

This is so beautiful! I enjoyed it so much. Could you do the Finale of Op.26 by Schumann? It's so beautiful but I never found a midi of it 😢
