I 💯 percent believe the dad, you can’t make a crazy lie that you paid 2 million dollars in a divorce settlement and paid 18k then 12k a month without proof otherwise… He also showed videos and pictures of them throughout the years… Videos of them spending time together on vacations and on special occasions… I had a real deadbeat dad, this isn’t it…
She also put out a response video to this. TLDR for that one is: Dad lived a block away for maybe one month. She doesnt think she has ever visited her dads place. He is estranged and they dont speak regularly. He lives across the country with a new wife. Her whole family is confused that he thinks they are close.
I watched it like 7 hours ago so just recapping what I remember. Some details could be hazy.
EDIT: Lots of people asking about the $5 million. She said she was a kid so wasnt very familiar with the financial side of the divorce. She asked him to help cover medical costs while in college and he did not help.
He said it wasn't just a month. And also he didn't move out, it was the mother who had a new relationship and was the first to moved out. The new house the mother and children lived in was an hour drive. He lived nearby with his girlfriend but the daughter wasn't fond of the dad's gf so they didn't visit much only the boys had no problem with the gf so only the boys regularly visit him at home. And they had like lot of family outing pictures and videos at different ages and it looked like they were all close to each other. Also the father remarried years after the divorce and some time after the marriage the dad and now wife bought a vacation home where they occasionally stay so a few months a year they live in another state. But that was years after the divorce the father stated the youngest was a high school student at that point so there really was no problem. The daughter never said it wasn't true in her response she just doubled down on the abandonment thing. Which means that it was somewhat true that they moved out first. And that she also made a decision not to visit him in his house. After all if it wasn't true why not contest it when she did it with the abandonment and medical stuff.
Also she didn't really have much to complain about she literally had an almost perfect life except the divorced parents part. She had everything she could want for and if she really want to be part of her father's life she would have done so already. A relationship even a familial one is not one-sided. To make relationships work both has to communicate and make concessions. So in my opinion the daughter is the wrong one here. Sure the father wasn't a saint and he could be better but he wasn't that bad.
Also the medical thing was true. He didn't want to pay for it. But it wasn't a medical emergency. She needed money to pay for relationship therapy after her break-up with her boyfriend which he didn't want to pay. The mother suggested that both of then split the therapy costs but he didn't want to pay for something like relationship therapy that he deems not necessarily or an emergency.
I don't know about therapy, counseling or something but she is already an adult she had all the help she needed so even if he refused this one time he can't be blamed. After all she didn't have a medical emergency and sure her mental health could improve with it but at the end of the day it was an optional thing not necessary a need. If she really needed a psychiatric help due to trauma like abuse or other worst stuff I doubt the father would have stayed still. So it was a want not a need.

@@cjboyo Yes he did admit to not helping with the medical bill but it wasn't really a big deal. It wasn't an immediate concern so him not paying wasn't outrageous.

Kinda not a fan of Kurtis' whole dismissal of actual receipts based on the (very common) act of parents shitting on each other to their kids, and then his wild political takes.
Like, dude can be a piece of shit AND his daughter could have been lying or wildly exaggerating her relationship with her father.
Especially considering (based on exactly the same amount of evidence Kurtis decides the daughter is absolutely telling the truth because "no one would lie about that") there's a good chance people might have been getting in his ear about why this happened between videos.
