Final comment. 😂. Sorry, not sorry. Pretty sure I struggle with adhd as well. It’s such a tough decision to find something that is going to be “perfect”. That’s the allure of the bullet journal. But I get so frustrated and bored having to set up the same weekly pages every week that I would just not do it sometimes and then not journal or plan at all. Common Planner was a life saver. But now I’m annoyed with the half year for some minimal reason and debating buying a whole new journal because idk what to do with 2 pages in the front. 😅😂 the struggle is real out here in the planner world! But I am in love with the aesthetic of my caramel and gold CP. Nothing else out there is as beautiful imo.
What really helps me is writing out all my thoughts regarding the decision I am having to make. Then, that usually helps me to make the decision when I get it out of my head. It also helps me to have something to look back to if I start doubting the decision I made. ADHD is extremely frustrating to live with sometimes and overthinking decisions is not immune to our neurodiverse brains. Praying you find peace and will gain understand into what will serve you best this next year. 💛

But your comment now about poverty mindset regarding pages just resonates with me. I’ve been debating getting wonderland222 even though I already bought common planner for 2024. But I got the half years. So I am stressed about running out of dailies, but like you…I have tons of extra pages still in my 2023. Also, I got the caramel and gold as well and it is so beautiful. ❤❤

I need a planner big enough to hold all my needs, yet small enough and light enough to carry with me (I'm 72 years old). But it must also have enough pages for on the go note-taking. I also write a bit bigger now because of arthritis and bad eyesight 🤪 I feel like I drive myself crazy for real.😂 I'm in a B6 slim right now, which I love, but I may be headed back to the A6 or Weeks. So silly. I have a hard time walking away from b6 because I have so many beautiful leather covers. I’m wishing for a b6 slim horizontal next year. 🤞🏻

I always think that I’m going to run out of pages, but I never do. 😅 I’m going to use the SI CP horizontal Weeks for 2024. It has 369 note pages. I’m going to try not to hold myself back from using them. 29:42 My Eternal Leather Goods’ covers were slightly too small for my SI CP Weeks. But my Gillio and Moterm covers fit perfectly with a bit of extra space. I love ELGs’ covers, but I’ll have to request it to be slightly wider to accommodate the 369 extra pages the next time that I buy one. Get well, soon!
That's odd that the ELG was too small because the SI is the same size as the Hobo weeks hardcover - just that it doesn't have a lip around it --- so the page size and cover are the same size as the hard cover so it should have fit the same as the Hobo.
I'm wondering if she means because of the thickness? That's why I'm going to have to order a custom. A gal in the Sterling Ink Group said she had to order a custom for her 520pg N2 Notebook because the standard weeks cover was too small. 😬

I have that as a print for sale in my shop as a B6. :) Yeah, I am for sure going to talk to Colin about the dimensions and most likely will have to order a custom cover for this chunkier weeks. Which is fine. If this is my planner peace size then I will use the cover for years. It's totally worth the investment. 💛

I used a hobonichi weeks this year but ran out of room. I love the size its easy to throw in your bag. I went with the TN common planner because it came in horizontal and I needed that extra space. But the weeks has a special place in my heart lol. I love sterling ink.

I applaud you sticking with one planner all year. I planner hopped like crazy this year as my needs changed (added my husband’s appointments to tracking in addition to my increased appointment demands. Plus we became a one car family that requires a TON of schedule juggling). I’m hoping my 2024 planner (Daphne’s Diary) will work. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Don’t have energy to decorate - hence the pretty planner for 2024. I like pretty. But I did learn that my planner has to be smaller/more portable.

I’m an adhd gal and I know which ever planner I start with, I won’t end the year with and I really want to. This year I made it 6 months 🤦♀️. I think this year I’m using a6 take a note in an eternal leather beauty for my planner. I got the a6 sterling ink 2 books so I think I’m going to use it for health and maybe a standard or favourite a6 slim note book for journalling etc. There is so much choice now, it was hard enough choosing before all the new ones came out 😂 xx
6 months is GREAT! Yeah, I was soooo proud of myself for sticking with one planner. I struggle with ADHD too. I think what helps is that I can change up the layout so easily with Catherine's design. I love that so many shops are able to produce what makes them happy but you're right, it makes it so hard to choose!
i wish i could write so much i just lost it with 4 kids and a house its been s o hard and i read so much into things then i just dont write it down and most time i dont get anything that i wrote done,,,,love your videos and stickers also i think the weeks are too small for me but i love the colors you have for the covers they look so juicy leather i love leather..
What about a sterling ink compact and then a blank weeks size notebook? Then you can blow through notebooks as needed yet have the compact with you all year for planning and reference?

I did the exact same thing! I bought my first B6 ever cover because of the Sterling Ink Common Planner with a Stalogy A5 as my memory keeper. I just can’t carry it with me. I did Weeks planner with a Stalogy A5 for Memory keeper. A5 Leuchtteurm as my planner and memory keeper together for one year…. Now what??? No idea.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Here's an idea. I've been watching your videos since 2018. You have made several changes since then regarding planners, journals that you use for organizing your life. I think you should start some sort of tracker with several columns or heading to include: Current planner/journal being used, planner/journal I'm switching to, reason(s) I'm switching out of current one, reasons for choosing the new one. Also include dates for these changes. I think you would find it interesting to look back on that data and maybe, just maybe it will help you in your choices/changes in the future. Just a thought.

I have only changed planners 4 times in the last 5 years which is not a lot at all for a gal struggling with ADHD. 🎉 Weeks to BUJO, BUJO to Wonderland for 2 weeks, Wonderland back to BUJO, and then to the Common Planner this whole last year. I’m still going to be in a Common Planner just a different size. So I’m not really changing planners. In the last 5 years I have only switched sizes for my journal once. B6Slim to Narrow. Perhaps if I really did change multiple times in the year, that would be a good exercise for me. But I stick with things usually a year at a time and reflect on what works/didn’t work in thought. I really appreciate the idea though. 🥰
So you’re in Sterling Ink? And you’ve branched out from Chic Sparrow. I really like the rustic style of Speckled Fawns. All these years and I’m really confused about how to do a journal. I do keep a running list of notes and numbers, but ya now, it’s not all our fault. It would be simple if there was not so much technology and red tape and hoops to jump through. Hi there! Sterling Ink is a Planner company. Chic Sparrow is a Leather Goods company that makes covers for the planners. I am in a Sterling Ink Planner and am currently using an Eternal Leather Goods cover for the planner. Chic Sparrow I think JUST came out with options to do a custom cover with snap, but I have used Eternal Leather Goods for over a year now and have gotten used to the soft, pebbled leather. I do miss the Darcy leather like crazy though.
Yes! It’s back when she called the color Mr. Darcy. I think it’s called Emma now. Just has a lovely patina. I may have a video of it from way back in the day.

I would just communicate with them and let them know that you saw the fit. You can reference my video if you want. Just ask for a bit wider to accommodate a growing spine of this chunky planner. I haven’t purchased many notebooks lately but Chic Sparrow has always been awesome at communication from my experience. 🥰
100% still in A5 because no matter how heavy it gets, I LOVE my Chic Sparrow Mr. Darcy (toffee) from many years ago and the thought of putting it on a shelf and not using it just kills me. 😂 B6 or even Weeks would probably be much more realistic for me but… 🤷♀️ 😂
A5 is such a great size though! That's my work planner size and I'm going back to A5 for my main planner for 2024 as well. But I'm not going to carry it around in 2024 because it'll be a brick.

The Weeks would be a good option as it's just a little smaller than the b6slim and similar in shape so you might find it a comfortable transition.

I think the HON was just in the A6 and A5 size - Hobonichi doesn't carry B6 size. What cover did you get? The HON is so nice!

Is it the Weeks compact? Can the size be an issue
Are you referring to the Sterling Ink N2 Notebook (Weeks sized) or the actual Hobonichi Weeks?
So you’re in Sterling Ink? And you’ve branched out from Chic Sparrow. I really like the rustic style of Speckled Fawns. All these years and I’m really confused about how to do a journal. I do keep a running list of notes and numbers, but ya now, it’s not all our fault. It would be simple if there was not so much technology and red tape and hoops to jump through. Hi there! Sterling Ink is a Planner company. Chic Sparrow is a Leather Goods company that makes covers for the planners. I am in a Sterling Ink Planner and am currently using an Eternal Leather Goods cover for the planner. Chic Sparrow I think JUST came out with options to do a custom cover with snap, but I have used Eternal Leather Goods for over a year now and have gotten used to the soft, pebbled leather. I do miss the Darcy leather like crazy though.
Is that the Weekly Folio from CS?
Yes! It’s back when she called the color Mr. Darcy. I think it’s called Emma now. Just has a lovely patina. I may have a video of it from way back in the day.

I'm fretting a little because I sent the SI CP N2 full-year measurements to Julia asking if I would need a custom *after* seeing *this* video, and she recommended...the weekly folio, which looks a little tight for my comfort too. :(
I would just communicate with them and let them know that you saw the fit. You can reference my video if you want. Just ask for a bit wider to accommodate a growing spine of this chunky planner. I haven’t purchased many notebooks lately but Chic Sparrow has always been awesome at communication from my experience. 🥰

100% still in A5 because no matter how heavy it gets, I LOVE my Chic Sparrow Mr. Darcy (toffee) from many years ago and the thought of putting it on a shelf and not using it just kills me. 😂 B6 or even Weeks would probably be much more realistic for me but… 🤷♀️ 😂
A5 is such a great size though! That's my work planner size and I'm going back to A5 for my main planner for 2024 as well. But I'm not going to carry it around in 2024 because it'll be a brick.
@@JustScribble I agree! I do love it…but it is a LOT to carry. 😂 It’s the reason I tend to be tempted to get something much smaller for on the go. But that means I would have two and I’m not sure I want to do that. Would I even keep up with both of them? Ugh…planner dilemmas…. 😂
Yes! A loved Darcy cover is THE BEST!!! I wish my weeks Emma? I think they call it now? Fit the chunky book. 😍
