- In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we head to Scandinavia for a triple threat and test of MAX youth rating. We do this for each nation with generating youth players, then we improve youth recruitment and youth facilities for each club and we let the challenge commence over 200+ years.

I also noticed this in the Belgium V Netherlands one I recorded and might be something i factor in going forward
Another way you can compare the nations is if you click on schedule and go for example when Sweden played Norway you can click on past meetings to see who has won the most amount of head to head matches between the different nations in the time period of the whole save

Should have acknowledged the fact that a team from Gibraltar made it to the champions league final in 2226.
Also, I would love an experiment with the dwarf nations of Europe: Gibraltar, San marino, Andorra, Malta and even Luxembourg
Problem is a lot of those nations aren't in the base gamr and when mixing databases together they can be hella glitchy
The experiment had nothing to do with Gibraltar so probably shouldn't mention it.

Hey Jay, suggestion for you to do a 'let's play' series where you pick 4 nations that only have 2 playable leagues (Croatia, Ireland etc) 1 nations 2nd division all gets money, another training facilities, third gets youth and you can only manage in the 4th

I can’t lie any simulations where a major change is made to either a club, nation, or league are by far my favorite kinds of simulations. Love manager careers as well. I would like to see some career resimulations where you take a rookie Ronaldo or Messi, with all of their stats back then, and redo their entire career, see how it pans out and how much their career changes.
They're super fun to make, as are the manager careers. And we have more manager careers coming soon, lots of plans ahead

i wish you would also do something with Baltic countries, all of them are super low in the ratings, equally bad, but only Latvia is part of vanilla FM.
Ahhh custom databases are difficult to use because they often don't mix together

The USA is a weird one because of their draft system they take from other sports, but it is interesting to me nevertheless

I saw the youth and training facilities quality decreasing with time, would not be possible to freeze it?
It isn't sadly. Only way would be to edit every so often, but these sims take a long time and I do them overnight. Maybe if I got a lot more subs I could get some traction with SI and get them to listen to my requests 🤣

It's so funny u mention this, the day this went live I recorded Belgium Vs Netherlands in the same style and i literally started asking this question about points as the experiment went on because as so many runner ups made it feel like they deserved some recognition

Love the content, however should the different cups not have different values, 1 for ECL, 2 for EL, 3 for Champions league, 4 for European Cups and 5 for world cups
Doing that score it finishes as Denmark 105, Sweden 83, Norway 71
Or split the counts domestic and international, 1 for ECL, 3 for EL, 5 Champions League and separately 3 for European cups, 5 for world cups
Doing that its Denmark 64, Sweden 59, Norway 28 domestic and Denmark 52, Norway 43, Sweden 37 for international so Denmark still win overall but 2nd places differ and we could speculate why

The national team is, they don’t have a league (I think) but they have teams in the Club World Cup and A-league in Australia which is in the game
