Why not just find a fitting that fit the neck of the extinguisher? It's just a standard pipe thread fitting. I'm doing the same thing on my Coleman CT200U-EX, but I am mounting it under the plastic "gas tank" at an angle. There will still be some dead space, but not nearly as much as laying it flat.

I did try that... LOl. I didn't have any success finding any with the same thread pattern. If you find the correct piece let me people know LOl....

It's close to a 3/4 MIP thread pitch but not perfect. Mine is an aluminum ABC fire extinguisher made by Buckeye in Dec '79. I had to make a 90 degree turn out of the neck, and added a 4" extension to a 45 degree to a 3/4 to 1" adapter with a cap. I had to smack the pipe from the side with a hammer to get the threads to tighten more than a few turns into the extinguisher neck. I bet the taper is different or something, but it does seal up, and is never coming loose again. haha What did you use for a fuel petcock?

John Martin Lol...glad that work for you. Are used a brass barb fitting. Then I attach my fuel hose and I buy fuel shut off valve.

I haven't made it that far yet, but that's my next step. I thought about tapping the bottom to use a standard Honda GX200 style in tank fuel filter instead of a brass barb fitting, but I haven't 100% decided yet. There isn't much room at the back, and bottom of my tank to install much of anything so I may have to use a 90 degree fitting instead. I do plan on running an inline fuel cutoff, and using aluminum hard line connected together with short sections of hose. I'm trying to make it as robust, and reliable as possible for long distance trail riding. I will also be adding a "sight glass" style fuel gauge to the side of the tank using 2 90 degree brass fittings, and some clear fuel hose.
