- Hey what's up everyone it's me Shi! I haven't caught a bass in a month! So I was determined to go out there and redeem myself! I started out at Mather lake where I caught two bass on the whopper plopper then I went to a place in West Sacramento where I landed a giant! Enjoy and remember to like and subscribe! Fish on!

Nice fish brother!!! I went out there on sunday evening and caught a 2lber. But man is that pond heavily pressured. There was a bunch of people there. Bass there are quite hard to catch.

i fished both spots before, that 2nd place has some giants but they are difficult to catch. Congrats!

Yeah, I've seen those bass at Mather a few months ago and I threw frogs, whoppers, minnows and plastics and they looked like they were just laughing at me and ignored me. They were mean. Maybe its time to try that spot again.
Yea mather is a pretty tough lake for it's size. You would think it's easier to catch them but the bass there are pretty smart.

Hey where is a good place to park near Mather lake that early? I thought they didn’t open the park until 6am.
The gate is usually already open by 3am. You can park inside. Good luck.

one of the gurus who got me into throwing monster 10"-14" swimbaits was the homeless fishermen the techniques for those bigger swimbaits work well when you downsize aswell
Yea I was really just focused on topwater frog fishing. Usually around this time of the year I do really good with it. But then I finally decided to throw something else. I'm still trying to catch more on the frog. But that swimbait bass felt really good.
