DIY How To Replace Batteries On A Honeywell Thermostat Model

In this DIY video I show you how to replace or change the batteries on a Honeywell Thermostat model number TH4110D1007. Other Honeywell thermostats are very similar. The message that appears on the thermostat is "Replace Batt" which is basically a warning to replace the batteries. I hope you find this video informative and helpful. If it's not flashing, is it a good idea to replace the batteries before going on vacation? What happens if the batteries die while you're away? Will the furnace stop working?

If you want to avoid doubt, it's best to replace the batteries to keep peace of mind. I've never had it completely die, but I think your cooling/heating will not work (turn off or on) until the batteries are replaced. That's only if the thermostat goes completely dead (blank screen).
