I got mine to work. It’s a indoor walk bc I’m home bound now. No need to get a app . Just tap the “0” steps it will show you the steps made then swipe over to see your menu. Pick run or walk or whatever. In my case it is “Walk indoors “ press what you want to measure then swipe back to the watchface .. in my case it’s the “ modular “ that can have about6 functions.
The problem with this app that steps count is not accurate. It’s more than 2000-3000 steps than steps from apple health or Fitbit. Apple has to have it available on the clock face without using a 3 d party app. This is so important feature for so many people
Is it too much to ask for a real-time step counter on my $350 Apple watch face??? My $24.00 fitness watch shows time, date (including day of week), heart rate, and real-time step counter at-a-glance!!! It also pairs with my Apple phone for music/podcasts/phone/text.
Coming from fitbit, I was disappointed that I couldn’t display my steps on my brand new Apple watch face. Siri directed me to your you tube video and now I have the steps on my face thanks to you!!! Very clear and easy directions!
Thank you! Downloaded the suggested app. Apple needs to make it possible to track steps on the watch face without a complication edit. This makes me miss my FitBit.
This is going to sound crazy but I actually miss my Fitbit. I got a real great deal on an open box Series 9 but have one more week to return it. My focus is on steps and activity. I feel like the Apple Watch does way more than what I need it to do. I just need it to tell time and give me a real time update on my activity
Same. I literally only want it for the steps. I have my phone to do all of the other crap. I can’t believe people want to be able to be so accessible to everyone that they would also use a watch and a phone at the same time, that do the exact same thing. No one gets that much access to me. It’s so ridiculous.
My problem is that pedometer ++ and the apple watch don't agree on step count. I'd be fine if it was off by even ~5% or so, but the difference is thousands between the number. If I do a 12k step day according to the watch, Pedometer ++ tells me I've done 15k steps.
My Amazefit BIP $60 showed this details and completed 10k steps daily last 4 years which had 40days of battery with a single charge. Just got my $400 Apple Watch lol, steps don’t show on watch face. 😂
I'm an Android/Garmin (past Fitbit) owner. Just checking in to see if Apple watch supports the common feature of steps and distance on the watch face. Great video for this issue👍🏼
My less than £40 mi band shows steps, heart rate, cals burned, and distance from activity. My £260 Apple Watch shows me the time 🙄 having to download stuff to get basic activity displayed is a real disappointment. Also finding the steps are lagging. Apple Watch is better for people who just want a small phone on their wrist. Regretting the purchase atm, hoping it gets better as I get more use to it.
This is the dumbest thing, Apple needs to stop lagging behind the competition. My 8 year old Samsung watch displayed real time steps without a third party app.
I was using Samsung watch for years even with iphone , i just bought A watch 9 Iam very disappointed No step , No treadmill exercise , No weight left exercise instructor ,
It shows the steps but I have to keep clicking on it to see my new steps if I don’t click on it it shows the steps I did before I open it to show the new steps
Agree. Is it too much to ask for a real-time step counter on my $350 Apple watch face??? My $24.00 fitness watch shows time, date (including day of week), heart rate, and real-time step counter at-a-glance!!!
Open the app on your iPhone. Go to settings. And enable the allow to read: and select all options listed or just the ones you want namely health and fitness. This allows the app to read directly from your phone or watch health and trackers apps. This should fix your issue as it did mine
Just bought my apple watch and it’s going back to the store just for being so awkward on stupid little things such as just displaying you steps on the screen
I’m thinking the same thing. Igor a great deal on an open box Series 9 but it’s so much more complicated than my old trusty Fitbit and because it does so much, I find myself looking for more ways to use it whereas with my Fitbit, it was more of a set it & forget it thing
Thank you for the video. I have downloaded the Pedometer ++ for use with an iPhone 13 mini. My spouse is doing a step challenge for walks (not total steps for the day). Question: Is there a way to record and save a walk from point a to point b showing the number of steps for this walk? If I can where can I see the saved steps data? I know that I can show walks and runs (indoor and outdoor) but once I hit "Stop", the activity disappears. For example, using the "walk indoor" option, under settings, I have set up duration, distance, workout steps and heart rate. The activity starts and I can hit pause/resume or stop. If I hit pause, I can see the statistics I have set up in the options. If I hit stop, the "X" there are no statistics to see. I can see the red activity ring with TOTAL steps for the day up. Thanks!
Got apple watch ultra, 800 pounds watch.. extremely high tech. Its a smart watch which the most basic think that I want it to do is show my steps... and I need a third party app so I can use it... jessus
Disagree about pretty good. Gives fake steps. Yesterday after riding a bike it added 3000 steps to my total steps and I did not make even one step during that riding
just got my apple watch today and how stupid it is not allowing to show the steps ! WTH !
Exactly!!!!
WTF!

My activity app doesn’t count steps. Only shows 0. What am I missing?
me too l have same

WTH!!!! These are the moments I think about selling my apple watch.

Same. Not kidding. I JUST got mine 3-4 mos ago and hate it. Want my fitbit back

Thank you as I’m just starting to walk again after 5 years🙏🙏🙏🙏
Doesn’t work for me on Apple Watch Series 3, pedometer++ is installed on the watch but it doesn’t show up in complications
Helpful, but you go a little fast for me, especially scrolling on the watch.
Thank you. I really needed to look at that counter on the regular so I can make more effort to meet the daily goal.
With this does it constantly update the step count or do you have to click on the complication for it to update like other apps
Unfortunately it doesn’t update step count. You have to press to see real value. Very stupid imo. My old galaxy watch could show real time step count.
Very stupid. Lol. It defeats the purpose
Is there a way to get the steps bigger instead of the default rings? I don’t like the small corner version for steps
Thank you! I just got the SE 2nd gen. And this was just what I needed on my watch face. Very clear instructions!
Thank you, but how do I add it to the bottom. When I try to change the bottom , there’s no “pedometer “
After last update to os18 it stops showing pedometer steps on watchface after like a minute or so. Is there any better alternative now?
But the steps don’t show in real time as you walk like Fitbit
Nice vide
Omggggg this is so helpful!!! Just got mine and was sad without my steps counter. Thank you
Me too. I was so surprised and had issue with not being able to see steps at a glance
I'm so glad that the video helped you guys..
How to install app. It asks to double click but I am not doing it correctly.
mine is showing different data from my phone tho
Same so I removed it
Why the number of steps on my apple watch is different than my iPhone ?
My Amazefit BIP $60 showed this details and completed 10k steps daily last 4 years which had 40days of battery with a single charge. Just got my $400 Apple Watch lol, steps don’t show on watch face. 😂
THANK YOU

Imagine having the Ultra like me. I feel like an Ultra idiot, that’s for sure
@@carljohnson850 🙈🙈 noooo
I cannot find pedometer on watch face while setting it while I can see the icon there.

Excellent and easy to follow. Thanks!
Gracias me ha servido de mucho muchísimas gracias

This was so helpful😊
Do I have to set it on a specific mode? Mine is still not showing the steps nor the walked distance

Thank you for this video!
This app won’t show the steps since the change to OS10….won’t update on the watch face anymore
Thank you so much. You saved me! Very good video!
Thanks!

bravo. respect !! it works. 😎
Thanks 😍😍
I have had my apple watch 7 for a week and it quit showing my step count.
ty!
With this app do I need my phone on me to track steps or is the watch sufficient?
The watch should be enough as far as I know..
Thank you
thanks
Awesome, thank you so much!!!!!
This was helpful just got my series 7 today
Happy to help you.
Thank you!
Very helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Can you send me the link to the app so I can download it
It's in the description of this video.

The no of steps is not the same as the health

Good app, but not free anymore...$20 a year
Swicthing from fitbit to AW SE... I hate so many things about Apple watch. no easy way to show heart rate and steps on watch face.. wth apple? bs
It’s not accurate
Not 100% for sure, but still pretty good imo...
