I regret not watching this earlier, Kai is insanely talented! And SM's production is always cheff's kiss.
Behind each piece there's a story, but they all together unfold the story of Kai's professional path: the beginning he's alone dreaming, the 2nd - he's performing in front of people but nobody cares... At the end he's on stage in the center surrounded by eight other men (Kai's position in EXO - Center, 9 members), you can find Kai's brief explanation of the concept.
PEACHES album is also insane and flawless and perfect but KAI’s self titled album was really iconic it was the perfect debut album it made everyone mad bcos of how good the songs are everyone wished their faves sung it lmaoooo i remember so many sm stans wishing it was sung by their faves 🤪
Kai is The Artist. Nobody is near his level of artistry and performing skill. Idol of Idols'. The prodigy of K-pop. That's all I'm going to say. 👑🧸❤️🍑

There is and its his best friend Taemin. They are both top tier in artistry, performing and have their own unique styles but also some similarities. The biggest difference is that Taemin wears a shirt (big sigh) LOL
FYI: Taemin was chosen as the first solo artist from a group by SM years earlier (2014). He has performed things that Kai and other artists are now doing, it’s just you are not aware of but I can see it. Also Taemin has sold out concerts, including stadiums for years. Kai and Taemin started training together at the same time, however Taemin was chosen first to debut in 2008 because of his level of dancing but couldn’t sing yet because his voice was changing. LOL The two would dance for hours late late at night and sometimes getting locked in the studio but couldn’t say anything because they weren’t supposed to be there (naughty boys). I can imagine how much fun and naughtiness they had together but also how exhausted they must have been. I wish there were videos of them, how cute would they be.
@@caterinabandiera7529 it might actually have something to do with Sm thinking he was older. Taemin said he wanted so much to be an idol that he fibbed about his age when he auditioned. Its not about who is better at dancing. Kai and Taemin are opposites both in temperament and dancing styles. Thats why their dancing styles are so different from each other. Like ying and yang thats why they complement each other

Actually, without listening to the whole album it's hard to get the full concept of each song, the snippets in the Film are not enough. The biggest surprise for me was Hello Stranger.

I mean, it's better late than never! I was so glad you finally checked this out. Too bad we didn't get a Film: Kai 2 for Peaches since he said he didn't have enough time, but he prepared a lot for his upcoming solo concert!

This album is literally in my playlist to this date and it's one of the most played albums 👍 ... I'm not even an Exo-l, but I love the solo stuff Baekhyun and Kai put out !!
His albums 카이 Kai and Peaches are both a masterpiece. I hope you do a listen party to both albums with lyric videos. Peaches doesn't have a film like this bec he said he didn't have enough time.. instead, Kai made a Prologue Video of his favorite track in his 2nd mini album called Vanilla. When I saw it I really wanted to cry. Not bec its sad but bec its really beautiful.
I'd like to believe that B sides are EXO's gifts to their fans cause only a real fan would take interest to hear them. If you dig more to their discography, you will discover hidden treasures.

The one you couldn't read was "Reason", it is my favorite b-side of the album. I played it so many times that I can't even count.
The whole "reason" ordeal is soo funny 😂 thank you for making me laugh first thing in the morning. Yeah, you're pretty late on this one but better late than never. As an EXO-L and Baekhyun biased. This mini album is my fav solo album (from exo) for the longest time (until baek dropped bambi, now it's a tie). My absolute fav song is Amnesia and it's nice seeing you have that same interest for that song. The whole album is solid tho! I hope you'd react to all of them (eventually). Also, reason have a dance practice 👀

Kai is so deferent. I loved this entire album, And when he is dancing his body structure, shapes and lines are so breathtaking! I was worried how he is gonna top this album, but 2nd album he showed us a deferent side. Kai is so impressive.
lol I stumble on Kpop because I kept watching Kai dance videos, that's why I'm super super proud of him.
notice how the first scene's hologram is Kai in ride or die outfit (the last song snippet), this shows film:Kai is actually a loop, never ending loop of his life as an idol. on a live stream he said this film actually tells about his life, struggles, being the spotlight etc, and on ride or die there are a dance platfrom that shows a lot of dance marks, given he already dance from a small age until he've become Kai :)

Finally! I remember your comment section was full of Film:Kai suggestions after your Mmmh reaction a couple months ago. I lost hope to see your reaction to this Masterpiece. The second song is REASON. The whole album is perfect. We were afraid he wouldn't be able to come close to the mastery with the second album, but Kai did, as always impressed everyone with his artistic sense and taste and the quality of execution.
The whole concept of the film was Kai's idea, he gave us an extraordinary preview of his masterpiece. Don't worry better later than never.
Finally, you checked Film: Kai!!! It is my favourite from him. All the two mini-album has amazing discography. No skip album and very interesting music. Please do listen do the album (You don't even need to react, but the music is sooo good). Thanks for your reaction!

And then I was wondering how in the world is he going to follow this up with an equally if not a better album. Surprisingly he did with Peaches.
The thing about SM is that all their artists have their own niche, they are talented and unique in their own ways and you bound to stan at least one or more groups. Kai is an extraordinarily talented dancer, he was the first EXO member to catch my attention with their pre-debut dance clips. Hope you’ll enjoy his bsides.

I got the word Reason right away and I don’t know his work lol. I am a Shawol and watch your reactions for SHINee but I thought I’d give this reaction to Kai a look since he’s besties with Taemin and heard he’s a great dancer too. This is my first time seeing Kai’s solo work. I’m a little impressed and intrigued. He is great as well and at the top of the game more than others. It’s great and only right that Taemin and Kai are besties. Both artistic, best dancers, etc I may take a look at him a little more. Haven’t gotten into Exo yet but I do like Baekhyun. TaeKai 👬 I support SM family. fun fact: when I decided to look into groups I first did super m cause it was interesting that they got members from diff groups. At that time I did hear “a lot” from fans of Kai because him & Jennie so I guess his name I was aware of. I only watched their show they did i don’t remember name n didn’t watch or listen to their music at that time. I noticed and liked baekhyun first cause he was funny. But then I noticed all the members looked up to Taemin and praised his songs, group, etc so they made him seem like a big deal so I decided to look into him and his group and I entered SHINee World & there’s no way out…I’m okay with that. Anyways glad I got to see this video of Kai. I will look into him and Exo soon. I’ve only seen clips of Exo/Kai with SHINee/Taemin but have watched some of Kais content (not music related). He seems like a cool sweet guy

The bsides to Peaches are really worth watching. The first album was iconic and everyone was impressed but he second album made me overwhelmingly proud of him. You can really see how he grew as an artist and found his sound.
At the beginning of the clip "hello stranger" Kai the dancing in the smoke, "ride or die" is the same as Kai, have you noticed that? Just omg !

Ah I would love an album first listen. Both to this and his Peaches album. I know it’s hard when there’s loads of other stuff to react to but I also think it’s a shame to not have these songs in your life any longer than you have already haha. I’m glad you watched this and are getting to know him better. He’s excellent - both as an artist and a person.
